This story contains a relationship between Xena, Gabrielle and another female. If you can't handle that then please read another story. I'm afraid that in this world the legendary Hercules wasn't born. Enough said…enjoy the story.
The Conqueror gazed out her balcony window, observing her kingdom of Corinth. The sun was setting on the horizon, giving off all the hues of red, orange and yellow. Creating an original masterpiece for all to see. She wrapped the Asian silk robe around her tall frame. The material hugged her natural curves, accenting them.
I brought this town from ruin to glory, from the many battles and spoils of wars past. I alone own this city and a third of the vast world. That bastard, Caesar, owns one part. Artemis's gorgeous daughter Sierra, owns the other. It seems that we're all at a stalemate, but rumor has it that Caesar is planning something for the Queen of the Amazons. A gentle breeze blew her long black tresses into her sapphire eyes. She brushed the hair back and sighed. Never the less, it's been done before…I lost third of my men to Caesars'. The Amazons' attacked Caesar, which sent him retreating with his tail between his legs. The only thing is…they didn't try and make a move on me, which I would've done in an instant.
“My Liege,” a soft voice interrupted.
“Yes, Gabrielle?”
A short blond lowered her head and spoke up, “I had another vision…”
The Conqueror raised a brow and turned to her, “Well, spit it out Oracle.”
The Oracle glanced up, as her emerald eyes made contact with icy blues. “I saw Caesars' banner hanging in my Lieges' Corinth,” she revealed, sighing heavily at the omen she foretold.
“WHAT?” the Conqueror scoffed, “I think you need to lay off the Amazon wine.”
“My Liege, I'm not drunk-”
The Conqueror cleared her throat and raised a brow.
“Alright,” Gabrielle sighed, “I admit that I had a whole bottle last night and yes, I have a slight hangover…” she pleaded, “but the vision is real.”
The Conqueror stared into her eyes for a moment, reading them for any falsehoods and found none. “Gabrielle, if this is true…what must I do to prevent this?”
Gabrielle's eyes lit up at the plan she was about to reveal to her Liege.
Queen Sierra had short black hair, charismatic brown eyes and a tanned well-defined physique. She sat upon her wooden throne, silently observing the winter festivities. Her Sisters were celebrating the bountiful hunt they had gathered for the upcoming winter. Her mind was on more pressing matters of the Nation, most important…Caesar to be exact.
The rhythmic pounding of the drums and the joyous songs grew louder and more emotional with every beat.
“Sierra, are you alright?” Ephiny whispered, noticing her friend deep in thought.
“Fine,” the Queen replied, turning to her Regent and flashed a smile. “Any news on-”
“Caesar?”
Sierra silently nodded.
“Valasca-”
A brown haired warrior with gray eyes approached and kneeled down before the Queen. She was out of breath as she spoke up, “Greetings, My Queen…Ephiny.”
“Good evening, Valasca…” the Queen greeted back.
Ephiny probed, “What did you find out?”
“Caesar is moving three legions towards the western tribe,” Valasca replied and continued, “His plans are to take over the gold mines…my Queen.”
“We can't have that now can we?” the Queen muttered aloud and glanced down at Valasca, “You did well, Valasca…you're dismissed for the night.”
“Thank you, my Queen…” she thanked and disappeared into the crowd.
The Queen turned to her Regent. “Send a messenger to the western providence, alerting them about our uninvited guests. Oh, and prepare 2 legions of my Elite guard…”
“Prepare?”
“Yes, I'm going to greet our intruders personally.”
Ephiny nodded, “Yes, my Queen…”
The Conqueror pressed her seal into the hot wax, sealing the official document. “This had better work, Oracle…”
“My Liege,” she lowered her head, “I have spoken the truth…and it will work.”
“KNOCK…KNOCK!!”
“Enter,” the Conqueror called out, as she rose to her feet. “Right on time, Callisto.”
“My Liege,” Callisto dropped to one knee, “You need of my services?”
“Yes, I need you to take this…” holds out the scroll and continued, “Personally hand this to the Queen of the Amazons, then bring back her reply.”
“What is it my Lord?” Callisto inquired, taking the scroll.
The Conqueror informed, “It's a proposal of an alliance between our realms.”
“Is that wise-”
A brow raised as an icy stare bore through her second in command.
Callisto lowered her head and nodded, “Forgive me, my Liege.”
“Good,” the Conqueror gestured with a wave of her hand, “Dismissed.”
Callisto turned and exited the room.
“Come on, Gabrielle…” the Conqueror advised and moved towards the door, “Time for dinner.”
“Yes, my Liege…” Gabrielle replied, following her in tow.
The Conqueror spun around, grabbed the blond by the waist and guiding her towards the wall. She pinned the woman's hands above her head and pressed herself against the young creature. Her hand roughly caressed a firm breast, while her knee lunged between her Oracle's legs, spreading them. “I think I'll have dessert first,” the Conqueror growled, taking a nip from her neck.
Gabrielle leaned her head back and fell into the ravishing from her Conqueror. She closed her eyes and whispered back, “My body is yours, my Liege.”
The Conqueror's fingers passed the wet folds of her Oracle and slowly moved towards her goal. “Your body and soul are mine,” she decreed, plunging two fingers into the warm center of the blond.
A soft moan left the Oracle's lips, as the unexpected thrust of the Conqueror's fingers entered her. “Forever my Liege…” she gasped between breathes.
Pompey raised his sword and cried out, “FOR CAESAR AND ROME!!!”
The cavalry charged forward, shouting out Caesar's name.
The Queen kicked off the body that was impaled on her sword. Her black armor glistened in the Sun's fleeting rays from the thick layer of blood and gore. An intricate design of a full moon with a howling wolf's head was upon her Chest Armor. “SEND THE SIGNAL!!!!” she decreed, decapitating another soldier with a quick swipe from her sword.
An Archer sent a flaming arrow high into the sky.
Two Elite legions appeared to the rear of the Pompey's forces, boxing them in the valley. The sound of a horn trumpeted and the legions attacked the startled Romans. The Elite guard cut the Roman soldiers down to half. By the end of the day, Caesar's legions were wiped out and their lifeblood soaked into the soft and fertile earth. The banner of Caesar lay on the ground covered in flesh and blood.
The Queen scanned the battle, taking in the sight of bodies as far as one can see. Roman and Amazon were mixed, leaving a surreal scene in ones mind. Survivors were searching through the bodies looking for their fallen Sisters. A gentle wind blew over her as she held her gore-encrusted sword in one hand and the severed head of Pompey in the other. Scenes of the bloody battle replayed in her minds eye.
Eponin spoke up, “My Queen, our guards captured a warrior named Callisto.”
“The Conqueror's Second…” she commented, turning towards her Captain of the Elite guard. “Bring her to me.”
Eponin waved for her guards to bring the prisoner forward.
An unarmed Callisto stood before the Queen and glanced down at the freshly severed head. “Well, the mighty Pompey has fallen…” she remarked and added, “And I so wanted the pleasure of his blood on my sword.”
“Show our Queen respect!” Eponin growled and kicked Callisto's legs out from under her.
Callisto fell to her to knees before the Queen.
“Forgive me for taking your PLEASURE, Callisto…” the Queen handed the head to her Captain, “Wrap it up with Caesar's banner and send it back to him.”
“Yes, my Queen…” Eponin nodded then, called another guard over and whispered her orders. The guard took the head and set of to do as she was told.
“So, tell me what brings the Conqueror's second to me?” the Queen inquired, wiping her sword off on Pompey's cape and sheathed her blade.
“I was sent here to give you a message,” Callisto replied.
The guard on her right held out a scroll, “My Queen, she had this on her.”
The Queen took the scroll, recognizing the seal of the Chakram with an X in the center as the Conqueror's. She broke the seal then, unrolled the fine parchment and began to read it.
Queen Sierra,
For the past ten winters we have been fighting each other at the cost of many honorable lives. Our brothers and sisters unfortunately made the ultimate sacrifice for our foolish mistakes. However, we cannot go back in time and change this. I have a proposal to eliminate this stalemate and create a stronger destiny for us both.
What I'm suggesting is a meeting, to discuss an alliance between our two realms and the fall of Caesar. I know you may have thoughts that this maybe a trap and I would completely understand the notion. Considering that I am the Destroyer of Nations. To show my good faith, I'm leaving the location and when this shall take place to your discretion.
I'm looking forward to our meeting,
The Conqueror
“It seems that the Conqueror wants an alliance with us,” the Queen said, as she rolled the scroll up and placed it under her armor. “Give our guest whatever she wants, then meet us back at my hut.”
“Yes, my Queen…” the guard spoke up and turned to the guest, “This way.”
Eponin whispered, “It could be a trap, my Queen.”
“I know,” the Queen sighed and kneeled down next to the body of her enemy. She removed Pompey's ring and stated, “But if there's anyway we can defeat Caesar and bring peace to the lands…” she rose to her feet and continued, “Eponin, we must try…no matter what the consequences.”
The Queen rolled the scroll up and placed her seal upon it. She took a much need sip from her wine and flashed her Captain a reassuring grin.
The guards escorted Callisto into the hut.
The Queen greeted, “Well, I hope that my Sisters have treated you well.”
“I'll be sure to inform the Conqueror,” Callisto retorted, sneering.
“Good,” the Queen held out the scroll and a small leather pouch for her to take, “Take these to the Conqueror.”
Callisto silently took them both.
The Queen leaned back in her chair and decreed, “Escort her to the border, then give her weapons back to her.”
“Yes, my Queen…” the guards replied in unison.
“Safe journey, Callisto.”
“The Conqueror thanks you for your kindness,” Callisto responded then, turned and followed the guards out.
The Queen poured herself another cup and assured, “Don't worry Eponin…”
A swift kick to her sparring partner's chest sent the man flying back. The Conqueror executed a back flip to distance her self from him and taunted, “Darphus, you're getting soft.”
Darphus leapt to his feet and swung his sword towards her head. She easily deflected the blow with her sword and returned it with a quick swipe from her own. Her razor sharp sword sliced into his gut, spilling his blood and intestines onto the ground. He groaned as he tried desperately to no avail, to put his intestines back into his body.
“You dishonor me Darphus,” the Conqueror stated, “You lied and stole from Corinth…for that you shall be made an example.” She turned to Marcus and ordered, “Crucify him and display his guts for all to see…let him die a slow death.”
“Yes, my Liege…” Marcus responded and hurried to do the task. He pointed to two guards and called to them, “You two, come with me.”
From the balcony, Gabrielle witnessed the horrible scene with disgust. She stared at the wailing man, praying that the gods would take him soon. As always, they seem to ignore her prayers and she lowered her head in defeat. Knowing that the Conqueror will be up here shortly to release some of her pent up energy. My Liege at times could be the sweetest person I've ever known with a heart of gold. Then instantly transforms into the Destroyer the next. THAT'S what scares me…Gods, I'm falling for her… She took in a deep breath and lets it slowly out, as she heard the door slam shut behind her.
“KNOCK…KNOCK!!!”
The Conqueror's muffled voice called out, “ENTER!”
Gabrielle's moans were growing louder and her legs were twitching uncontrollably.
Callisto entered the room and noticed that her Liege was busy eating her little Oracle out. She observed the naked pair and abruptly cleared her throat, smirking.
The Conqueror continued her onslaught of Gabrielle's cunt and plunged three fingers into her tight center, causing the Oracle to orgasm and scream out, “OH GODS MISTRESS!!!” Her body trembled, as a geyser of her juices released into the Conqueror's awaiting mouth. She quickly lapped all the nectar up, until not a drop was left. The Conqueror moved up to the spent Oracle and passionately kissed her.
“I hope you brought me good news Callisto,” the Conqueror remarked, as she climbed out of bed and approached her second
“Of course my Liege,” Callisto replied, handing her the scroll and the leather pouch. “I arrived just as the battle between Pompey and the Amazons ended.”
“And?” the Conqueror took the items and moved to her desk.
“The Amazons won of course…” she stated and continued, “Her Elite guard came in from the rear and slaughtered them all. The Queen held Pompey's severed head as I approached.”
The Conqueror opened the pouch and dumped the contents into her hand. A Roman noble ring fell out. She held the ring up, as the afternoon rays shimmered off the intricate silver carvings. A mischievous smirk formed upon her face, as she noticed the large letter P upon it. “Awww…one down and the other shall soon follow,” she whispered and inquired, “Did they treat you well?”
Callisto nodded, “Yes, my Liege.”
“Good,” the Conqueror broke the seal and began to read it.
Conqueror,
I've just received your letter and was surprised to hear that the Destroyer would like to ally with Artemis' Daughter. I too believe that this war has taken far too many lives, as it moves into a stalemate. Your proposition has intrigued me and I would like for us to meet in person. I'll send word on where we shall meet.
Queen Sierra
P.S. Take this gift as a memento of my victory against Caesar.
Callisto inquired, “Good news, my Liege?”
“Perfect…”
The Conqueror was enjoying a fine meal with all her Generals. As she casually listened to their drunkin' banter of battles past, a feeling of being watched overcame her. She finished her wine off and excused herself from the table. The Conqueror stealthy moved down the hall in search of the voyeur, after finding no one but her guards. “No one's to disturb me,” she ordered her personal guards then, entered into her bedroom to investigate further.
The candle lit room was filled with shadows, as the Conqueror stepped into the room. She perceived a new scroll upon her desk and inquired, “What I would like to know is how you got passed my guards?”
“Just like you…” the Queen spoke up and stepped into the light, “I have many skills.”
The Conqueror turned to her new Guest, who was clad head to toe in black and carried a sword upon their back. “Forgive me,” she bowed her head, “I wasn't expecting a Queen in my personal chambers.”
The Queen removed her mask and remarked, “And I'm a Hestian vestal virgin.”
The Conqueror chuckled at the thought and flirted back, “No, I guess not…but we could always use our imaginations.”
“My…my is the Conqueror actually flirting with her enemy?” the Queen rhetorically asked, grinning ear to ear.
The Conqueror slowly walked around the gorgeous woman. She's bit shorter than myself...perfect. Her eyes roamed over Queen's body, taking in all the curves and imagining her hands upon them. “I don't consider you my enemy.”
“Then what do you consider me as?”
“An ally,” the Conqueror replied, inhaling the soft scent of lilac with a touch of musk. Gods…I don't remember ever being this aroused by the familiar pair. “My equal,” she whispered into the Queen's ear and seductively conveyed, “And quite possibly my next lover.”
The Queen was unfazed by the Conqueror's comment and remarked, “Well, before we release our carnal desires on one another. We must first discuss the terms of our Allegiance.”
“Business before pleasure,” the Conqueror stated, “I like that in a woman. So, where do you want to discuss OUR partnership?”
“Come with me-”
“It would be my honor too,” the Conqueror mischievously smirked.
“I walked into that one didn't I?”
“Yep.”
A tall red head was swaying to the rhythm of the music that filled the air. She slowly began to undress for the crowd of men, which consisted of the Conqueror's Soldiers, laborers, traders and a few farmers. She flung her top into the crowd of men, as they cheered her on.
“Greetings, Sierra!” Meg called out and gave the Queen a friendly hug. “It's been awhile.”
“Yes, it has my friend…” the Queen introduced her cloaked partner, “This is my friend-”
“Call me Xe,” the Conqueror finished, removing her hood and stood face to face with her double.
“It's nice to meet you Xe,” Meg responded and whispered, “Any friend of Sierra's is a friend of mine. I guess that makes four…”
The Conqueror retorted, “Excuse me?”
“Oh, sorry…” Meg apologized, “So far, I've met four women who all look like the Conqueror.”
“Oh, really?”
The Queen spoke up, “Meg, we'd like a private table.”
“Sure thing Sierra,” Meg gestured for them to follow, “This way.” She led them to secluded table in a shadowy corner. “Will this do?”
“Perfect…” the Conqueror thanked and added, “Oh, can you bring us some Porte.” She made herself comfortable in the corner chair and waited for her companion to do the same.
“Sure,” Meg flashed them grin.
The Queen sat down on the Conqueror's right.
“So, my Lady…” the Conqueror inquired, “Do you come here often?”
“Not this particular one,” the Queen shook her head, “I usually go to Meg's other Cabaret.”
“I heard that it's twice the size of this one.”
“Yes,” the Queen nodded and revealed, “There's an Inn attached to it…so one can relive any tensions they might have.”
“Interesting, I'll have to check it out.”
“Here you go,” Meg came back with their drinks and sat them on the table.
“Thanks,” the Conqueror handed her two gold coins, “Keep the drinks coming.”
“Will do, Xe…” she took the coins and left the pair.
“If we're going to be ally's I guess we drop the formalities,” the Queen suggested, taking a sip.
“Where do you want to start, Sierra?”
After having at least a keg between the two, a foundation was made for the union of their two realms. With the weight of running a realm temporally lifted. They settled back to enjoy the live entertainment and each other's company.
“So, tell me Sierra…” Xena finished last of her Porte and inquired, “Do you have a Consort?”
“No…” Sierra shook her head then, hiccupped. “Excuse me…Nope, I haven't found that special person.” The Porte had finally caught up to her, as she felt all her inhibitions leaving her. Finally, she pushed her half-full mug away from her. “Last rumors I heard…” thinking back and continued on, “Was that you and a cute blond were getting it on.”
“Gabrielle,” Xena informed, taking Sierra's mug and chugging it. “She satisfies me,” she replied in a slurred voice, as the effects of the alcohol finally caught up with her as well.
“Well, as long as you're happy…” Sierra expressed and stood up, “I need some air-”
“Happy?” Xena chuckled at the thought and rose to her unsteady feet, “I'll cum with…we can continue our discussion and stuff.” She took a step forward and stumbled into her drinkin' partner. “Sorry…”
Sierra wrapped an arm around Xena's waist and guided her out of the Cabaret. “It's time to take you home Xe,” she advised, leading her towards the barn.
“I'm fine…really.”
Sierra managed to open the door with her foot and steered them into the barn. “Now, I want you stay here…” she suggested, leaning her against a stall door. “Let me get the horses and we'll be on our way.” Suddenly, she grabbed from behind and pulled back into a hard body. “What are you doin?”
Xena's hand was busy caressing a breast, while the other held her tight around the waist. She kissed Sierra's exposed neck and began licking a trail towards an earlobe. “You want this as much as I do,” she revealed in a husky voice filled with desire, “I bet you're as turned on as I am…” pausing to seductively suck on an earlobe, “Oh, that sweet nectar is slowly traveling down your inner thigh.”
“We've got to stop this-”
“I can smell your soft musky scent,” Xena purred, “And I bet it tastes like ambrosia too.” She instantly spun her captive around and pulling her body into hers. Her moist lips found the Queen's, as her tongue forcibly entered in search of its partner.
The Queen fell into the passionate kiss, as her body gave into the carnal urges that it's been denied for way too long. She wrapped her arms around the Conqueror's body and pulled her body closer.
The Conqueror broke the kiss, picked up the startled Queen and tossed her over her shoulder. She quickly climbed the ladder that led to the hayloft above. Sat her down, removed her cloak and spread it over the hay. She then removed her leather armor, tossing it aside and started to work on her clothes.
The Queen's shirt and boots were already in pile. Now, she was in the process of removing her pants and they too fell to the discarded pile.
The Conqueror pulled her in for another searing kiss. Their lips never broke contact, as she lowered her onto the soft cloak. She slowly climbed on top of her, positioning herself between the Queen's thighs.
The Conqueror enjoyed the taste of sweet ambrosia upon her lips and plunged her tongue further into the goddess' vagina. Tartarus…where's a phallus when ya need one. Not wanting any part of HER Queen to feel neglected, she moved her assault north. Her tongue slowly circled it once, teasing her, before she applied suction to the engorged nub.
Sierra's body shook from achieving yet another orgasm, which made four so far. The floodgates lowered, releasing more of her delicious nectar. A guttural moan escape from her lips, as her body released small tremors.
Xena blissfully lapped up her luscious reward, until nothing was left. After kissing her inner thighs, she kissed a trail over Sierra's tight abs then, a quick peck to each nipple. Finally reaching her destination, a set of luscious lips that she softly kissed. Her tongue entered into a willing mouth once again as the kiss grew passionate. The kiss ended and the Conqueror laid her body upon her precious Queen, wrapping the cloak tightly around them.
The lovers lay spent, intertwined in the protective arms of other. They closed their eyes and waited for Morpheus to release them into his realm.
The early morning rays heated the lovers' naked skin, waking them from their peaceful slumber.
Sierra slowly opened her eyes to the bright sun and a pounding headache. “Hera's tits…”
“Good morning, Sunshine.”
“Huh? Yeah…right,” Sierra muttered, recognizing the seductive voice and feeling a warm body laying on top of hers. “Conqueror?” Her eyes finally adjusted enough to make out a very naked Conqueror, grinning from ear to ear. Common sense slapped her upside the head and she hesitantly inquired, “Did we?”
“But of course,” the Conqueror purred with delight, kissing her softly on the lips. “I hope I didn't wear you out too much.”
“You didn't…”
“Good,” the Conqueror climbed off her soft pillow, “Time to get up,” she suggested then, helped the Queen to her feet. “We have a busy day ahead of us.”
“How can you be so perky?” Sierra probed then, picked up her pants and climbed into them. She was in the process of putting her bra on and grumbled, “You drank as much as I did.”
Xena was now working on her boots, when she pulled her lover into another embrace. “I know, but lets not forget that YOU worked it COMPLETELY off ME…” she enlightened, pulling her in for a searing kiss.
After both were completely dressed and stealing kisses in between. They finally led their horses out of the barn and each mounted their perspective steeds.
The Conqueror advised, “An official ceremony for the unification of our two realms is needed.”
“Very well,” the Queen agreed, “When?”
“In two days.”
“Alight.”
The Conqueror leaned over and passionately kissed her Queen goodbye. “Until then my Queen.”
“Safe journey, my Liege.”
“HAIL, TO THE CONQUEROR!!” everyone toasted.
The Conqueror tipped her glass towards her men then, finished off her wine. A young maiden instantly refilled her glass. “I want all the borders opened to the Amazons and I want trade routes to begin immediately.”
“But my Liege…”
The Conqueror turned her icy glare towards her treasurer, “What is it Tiberius?”
The middle-aged man rebutted, “How can we trust these wild women-”
“Tiberius, who runs this realm?”
“My Liege, you do.”
“Who determines what's best for it?”
“My Liege, you do.”
“And who decides if you shall live or DIE?”
He swallows hard, “My Liege, you do.”
“Until further notice, your salary is forfeit.”
“But-” Tiberius caught himself and apologized, “My Liege, forgive me.”
“You're lucky I'm in a good mood,” the Conqueror remarked, “Does anyone else want to question my decisions?”
Everyone halted they're conversations and silence was their reply.
“Good,” the Conqueror informed, “We have two days to get everything ready for the ceremony.”
Everyone replied in unison, “Yes, my Liege.”
The Conqueror was once again enjoying a fine dinner with her staff. To her left was Gabrielle who silently picked at her food. Realizing that her Oracle had been introverted ever since she'd returned. “What is it Oracle?” she inquired, “Does the food not satisfy you?”
“No, my Liege…”
“Then what is it girl?” she probed, taking another sip.
Gabrielle kept her eyes on her plate and whispered, “My Liege, it's a personal issue.”
“Very well, we'll talk about it after dinner.”
“Yes, my Liege.”
“YOU DID WHAT?” Ephiny gasped, as she climbed into the large spring and sat across from her Queen.
Sierra leaned her head back, as the warm water relaxed her sore muscles. “I said…we had sex,” she repeated, sighing. “Okay…here's the lowdown. We went to Meg's place, where we discussed the terms of our alliance. Everything was perfect. We had a foundation and everything. All we had to do is write it up,” she took in a breath and continued with her story, “We talked a bit…watched the dancers…talked some more…watched the dancers and between all that we were drinking like fishes. Everything kinda went fuzzy after that.”
“Well, what do you remember?”
“I was helping Xena back to barn,” Sierra thought about it for a moment, “I remember being carried…then a lot of kissing...” she shrugged, “And that's it…until I woke up to a naked Conqueror laying on top of me.”
“The Conqueror?” Ephiny repeated with an awed look upon her face. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” Sierra nodded, “There were a few clues…you know.”
“Like what?”
“Well, I had her musky scent upon me.”
Ephiny shrugged, “It doesn't mean-”
“Care to explain where these hickey's came from?” Sierra inquired, gesturing towards the suspicious marks that were strategically placed upon her body. “Ephiny, this one even looks like an X,” she said, pointing to the one on her left breast.
Ephiny leaned over to examine it, realizing that it was the letter X. “Gods…how did she do that?”
Sierra rolled her eyes and sighed, “I don't know…but I'll ask her when I see her again.”
“Do you trust her?”
“My gut is telling me too…” Sierra replied and added, “If she wanted me to hurt me she would have done it last night.”
“Not necessarily…” Ephiny shook her head, “We are talking about the Destroyer here.”
“Yeah, I know…”
Gabrielle was standing on her Liege's balcony, observing the gorgeous sunset. “Why must everything be so complicated?” she sighed, “Why can't I keep my big, mouth shut…she doesn't want to know how I feel-”
“Oh, please tell me Oracle…”
Gabrielle spun around and was face to face with the Conqueror. She hesitated for a moment. It's now or never… “My Liege…” she swallowed hard and revealed, “I'm falling for you. I mean…” she paused a moment to gather her courage and nervously grinned, “I love you, my Liege.” GODS…I finally told her…Please feel the same way.
The Conqueror pulled her Oracle into a tight embrace and gently kissed her. She lovely placed a kiss on Gabrielle's forehead and expressed, “My…my I didn't expect this.” She glanced into her Oracle's eyes and inquired, “Gabrielle, do you know what love is?”
Gabrielle searched in her Liege's eyes for the love that she knew was there. “Yes, my Liege…I feel it when I'm with you. Sometimes, I can even see it in your eyes.”
“You think so?” the Conqueror asked, lowering her defenses a bit to reveal the love within them.
Gabrielle caressed her Liege's cheek, “Deep down…it's there, I can feel it.” She slowly pulled her in for a passionate kiss. After the loving kiss ended she whispered, “Can you feel it?”
“Oh, I feel something…”
“Really?”
The Conqueror nodded, as her loving eyes turn cold and dark. “I feel that you need to be put back in your place.”
“Huh?” Gabrielle voiced, as she stared into the eyes of the Destroyer. Please…not now. She shook her head in disbelief as her heart broke in two. “My Liege…” she pleaded, “Please, I didn't mean-”
“Be still!” the Conqueror yelled, backhanding her. The force of it spun the startled blond around. She ripped the clothes off her Oracle, then roughly pinned her against the balcony wall. “Is this what you want?” she growled, bending the girl over the stone ledge. With one hand, she held the girl's wrists behind her back.
Before Gabrielle could even blink an eye, she was naked and leaning over the edge. She silently prayed, as she glanced down at the courtyard below. He legs were kicked apart, spreading her and exposing her moist center. She could feel the gentle breeze caressing her naked skin. Gods…I beg of you…please help me.
The Conqueror dropped her pants. Revealing a leather phallus, which was already strapped to her. She rubbed it over the girl's moist nether lips, lubricating it. She then, brutally plunged it deeply into her tight center. “You want love,” she taunted, “I'll show you what it means.”
Gabrielle stifled a cry by biting into her lip, as the phallus was shoved deeper into her. With each thrust it seemed to enter her deeper than the next. Tears streamed down her face as she felt the eyes from soldiers upon her, silently witnessing her punishment. Anyone…please help me…
“Love is a weakness,” the Conqueror growled with clinched teeth. Soon, a rhythm to her thrusts brought her a step closer to her own release. She maliciously squeezed Gabrielle's breast and continued her assault upon her Oracle. Within moments an orgasm overwhelmed her, releasing a deep guttural moan and she collapsed on top of the blond.
Gabrielle choked in a sob, as the warm body above her ceased it's trembling. The phallus was then removed and it fell to the ground in clank. Suddenly, she was gently picked up and carried over to the large bed. Her Liege carefully placed her upon the bed and covered her with a blanket. She turned onto her side, away from her Liege and laid in fetal position.
The Conqueror stood there for a moment, looking down at her Oracle. She listened to the girl's soft sobs as a strange feeling of regret entered her soul. Without warning and control, tears formed in her impassive eyes. What have I done? “I'm so sorry," she sincerely apologized, "I didn't mean to hurt you.”
Gabrielle was momentarily stunned at what her Liege had said. She's never apologized…EVER.. Maybe it's just wishful thinking… Her sobs changed to sniffles, as she wiped her tears with the back of her hand.
“Gabrielle, please forgive me…” she begged then, dropped her knees and silently cried. “I didn't mean to…” she repeated, as tears were now flowing freely down the Destroyer's face.
Gabrielle was utterly speechless, as she laid there listening to the remorseful Conqueror. She's begging and sobbing like a babe…maybe someone did listen to me. Her heart broke a thousand times over at the sound of her love crying before her. She turned around and placed a reassuring hand upon her Liege's. “I know…” she whispered and gently squeezed it.
“Please forgive me…”
“I do Xena.”
The Emperor Caesar was leisurely standing on his balcony, staring upon HIS majestic city of Rome. He silently observed the civilians below, who were going about their lives without a care in the world. Pompey, you arrogant bastard… you underestimated those Natives. I sent you out to complete a simple task. Makes no matter…
“Excuse me, Emperor…” his second interrupted.
“Yes, Brutus?”
Brutus stepped onto the balcony and held out a scroll, “I thought you would find this interesting.”
“Very well,” Caesar nodded, taking the scroll and unrolling it. He quickly read over the official document and finally spoke up, “Ahh…there seems to be a celebration between the two realms. The alliance of the Conqueror and the Queen, how touching. The Queen has finally fallen for Xena's seductions…interesting.”
“With the two realms allying together-”
“We don't stand a chance?” Caesar finished in question, turning to face his second. “Far from that, Brutus. Emotions are weaknesses and arrogance is Xena's. With that we a kink in her precious armor.”
Brutus scoffed at the idea, “The Conqueror has emotions?”
“She is a full-fledged woman…is she not?”
“Of course.”
“No matter how you parade yourself to be,” Caesar stated and decreed, “The truth is the same…MALES are superior to females. They are an emotional species, therefore weak. Brutus, females are only good for procreation and serving our needs.”
“Of course, Emperor.”
“Rumor has it that Xena has a thing for petite blonds,” Caesar smirked, “I believe that I have the perfect gift for the celebration.”
Brutus silently nodded, grinning.
The city was decorated with the realms' colors, dark purple for Corinth and black for Ephesus. The along waited union of the realms and festivities had already begun. Citizens of all ages showed their spirit by greeting the Amazons at the main road, which led to the Conqueror's castle. The polished armor on Corinthian guards glistened in the late afternoon sun. The guards stood at attention along the main road, keeping it clear for the city's guests. While the Men at arms were patrolling through the crowd, keeping their eyes out for any suspicious individuals.
Gabrielle was modeling an Asian design for her Liege. The crimson silk, hugged her natural curves, accenting all her assets. The sleeveless gown had an oval cut upon the chest to reveal more of her cleavage. Its length was cut to her knee and slits ran along each of her legs, revealing a pair of firm thighs. Her toes wiggled freely from the sandals that she also wore.
“Sakura has outdone herself again,” the Conqueror revealed, grinning. “Remind me to double her pay.”
The Oracle blushed, “Yes, my Liege.”
The Conqueror was dressed in her ceremonial kimono, designed by her hand for occasions such as these. The expensive material was of a flower pattern with black and gold trimmings, which enfolded tightly around her body like a glove. It wrapped around her shoulders and crossed at her cleavage, revealing the tops of her ample bosom. To complete her wardrobe, her feet were wrapped with sandals.
“My Liege…” Gabrielle brought over a velvet pillow, which her Liege's winged diadem sat upon.
Xena lifted her golden crown and placed it upon her head. This simple task sent shivers down her back and tiny goose bumps upon her exposed skin. With this, her body tingled as her seasoned Olympic power flowed through her veins. The essence of her radiated out, giving anyone standing close a taste of her quintessence. The Destroyer of Nations, the Lion of Amphipolis and the Warrior Princess, formed the majestic Conqueror.
The trumpeters sounded the arrival of the Amazons.
“Remember this day Gabrielle,” the Conqueror avowed, “This will be the beginning of the end for Caesar.”
Two Elite guards on horseback rode ahead of the procession, followed by seven more Elite riders in a V shape formation, the Queen, her Regent and her Captain, one Elite and one Royal guard on each side of the Queen then, seven Royal guards followed behind and finally two Royal guards came up the rear. All were wearing their ceremonial masks and wardrobes. Half of the guards wore black bracers on their upper arms, which identified them as Elite. While the others had on blue bracers, revealing the Royal guards.
The citizens of Corinth were cheering and hollering at their new ally's.
The Queen rode atop her black steed in the center of the procession. She wore her battle leathers that were shined to perfection and a black cape draped behind her. She took in all the sights and sounds of the Conqueror's Corinth. The day has come Mother…give me strength.
Artemis' voice whispered into her ear, “Little one, you have my strength and my heart.”
The procession ended in the center of the Conqueror's courtyard. Stable hands were lined up and waiting patiently for the Amazons. Everyone finally dismounted their horses and stood next to them, waiting.
The Queen climbed off her steed, handing the reins to an Elite guard. “Take three…help them settle the horses in and meet up with us later.”
The guard nodded, “Yes, my Queen.”
Marcus approached them, bowing his head and greeted, “Welcome to Corinth, Queen Sierra.”
“Thank you for having us,” the Queen responded gently. She glanced around the large courtyard and felt the eyes of the Conqueror upon her.
“My name is Marcus,” he stated, “I am the Conqueror's head of security.”
The Queen's overly protective guards instantly surrounded her, in the same formation as before. Her close friends took their places behind her and waited for their majesty to take the first step. “Well, then…Marcus meet Eponin, she's the Captain of my Elite guard.”
Eponin nodded her head towards the man.
“Nice to meet you Eponin,” Marcus replied with a friendly grin and gestured for them to follow, “My Queen, this way. The Conqueror awaits you presence.” He led them deeper into the courtyard.
The Queen and her party followed in tow.
The Conqueror sat upon her throne, silently observing her guests. Flashes overwhelmed her; hot…sweaty…raw…unbridled sex, with the most gorgeous woman around. Thoughts of the hayloft entered into her mind, as a small smirk formed.
Gabrielle stood to the right of her Liege, taking in sight of regal Amazons before her. I'm honored to meet the legendary Queen, who I've only seen in my dreams.
Callisto silently stood on her Liege's left, wearing her shined and highly polished armor. Her eyes glared at the pretty Oracle then, she turned to face the Amazons. Making frivolous treaties with the enemy…where did the MIGHTY blood thirsty Destroyer go? The blond warrior quickly turned emotionless, as she observed the Amazons approaching.
The Queen's black mask covered the grin that had grown at the sight of Conqueror. Gods…she had that look when we in the barn… She halted her procession and stood before the Destroyer of Nations. Sierra glanced at blond on Xena's right. She's truly a beautiful creature… She turned to the enigmatic Callisto. Keep an eye on that one…seems to be hiding something. Finally her eyes locked with a pair of charismatic blues.
The Conqueror rose from her throne, gracefully bowing to her guests. “Welcome to Corinth, my Queen…” she greeted, grinning.
“My Liege, the Nation thanks you for inviting us,” the Queen responded, giving the signal to her all her guards to pay respect to their host.
All the Queen's guards instantly fell to one knee, leaving the Queen, her Regent and her Captain standing. In turn they too bowed to the Conqueror as well.
“I hope your trip went well,” the Conqueror said, climbing down the stone steps towards her guests. Her second and Oracle followed right behind her.
The guards parted giving their Queen a path to the Conqueror.
The Queen approached her, followed in tow with her second and Captain. “Relaxing…would be a choice word,” she remarked, lifting her mask and handing it to her Captain. “Thanks for the welcoming committee,” she said, holding her hand out for the Conqueror to take.
The Conqueror took her hand and firmly shook it, “My pleasure…”
“Conqueror, this is my Regent Ephiny…” Sierra introduced her close friends, “And this is my Captain Eponin.”
The Regent and Captain silently nodded to her, grinning.
“Nice to meet you both,” Xena said, flashing them a friendly grin. She gestured to hers and introduced them as well, “You've met my second, Callisto and this is my Oracle, Gabrielle.”
“Callisto,” Sierra greeted then turned to the Oracle, “A pleasure to meet you Gabrielle.” She held her hand out for the blond to take
Gabrielle placed the official documents before the Conqueror, “Sign here, my Liege and here.”
The Conqueror signed her name on both and passed it back to her Oracle.
“My Queen, please sign underneath my Liege's signature.”
“Alright, thanks…” the Queen said, signing her name and handed it back. “There you go, Gabrielle.”
The leaders observed the Oracle signing her name as a witness to the signing. She rolled each of them up, kept one and handed the other to the Regent Ephiny. “Here you go.”
Ephiny grinned and took the document, “Thank you, Gabrielle.”
“It now, official.” the Conqueror spoke up and stood up, “The realms have united and I do believe that there's a feast waiting for us in the dinning room. Let the celebration begin!”
The Conqueror kicked back another goblet of wine and sat it roughly upon the small table between herself and the Queen. She picked a grape from the bowl of fruit and plopped it into her mouth. She slowly chewed it, as she listened to Gabrielle's fairy tale come to an end.
A young girl quickly filled her Liege's goblet and stepped back.
“That is how Hercules, the immortal son of Zeus became a hero and legend to all,” Gabrielle finished, grinning.
The room was in an uproar, clapping and cheering from all those who listened to the original tale.
“Thank you all!” The blushing Gabrielle replied, bowing to her responsive audience.
“Xena, now I know why you've kept that wonderful creature with you for this long…” the Queen remarked and added, “She possesses many talents.”
“That she does,” the Conqueror agreed, smirking.
Gabrielle approached the gazing leaders as they admired her. Feeling herself blushing once again as she found her place on the Conqueror's left. Her eyes were filled with an eternal love as she stared at her Liege. She hasn't struck me once since that night…and I'm forever grateful for it. Maybe this is truly a good day.
The Queen observed this and returned it with an acknowledged grin. She lifted her goblet to the Oracle, “Gabrielle, I'm honored to have heard your enchanting tale.”
“Thank you, my Queen.”
Sierra scanned the room and remarked, “So, Xena…I haven't seen your second around.”
The Conqueror finished taking another sip and responded, “Callisto hates functions such as these…I'm having her give some of my troops a surprise maneuver. Keeps them on their toes, so to speak.”
Sierra nodded as she took another sip from her wine. “So, how long have you owned Gabrielle?” She inquired, glancing over at the subject in question.
“Two years now, why?”
“I just wondered where one would find a woman such as her,” Sierra expressed, taking a ripe strawberry and seductively bit into it.
“After disbanding a group of rebels outside of Poteidaia,” Xena gently grasped Sierra's wrist and brought the strawberry to her awaiting lips. She finished the defenseless fruit and amorously sucked the juices from Sierra's fingers. “I came across a young creature working in the fields.”
Sierra swallowed hard, “I see…”
“Her heavenly body caught my eye of course…the firm, tanned body of hers…” Xena revealed, “As soon as I moved in closer to the beauty, my eyes locked on pair emeralds and I was utterly overwhelmed. I knew then that I had to have her…possess her and make her mine.” She finished her wine in one gulp and observed her servant pouring more wine into her cup.
Artemis whispered into her daughter's ear, “Sweetie, we need to talk.”
“Forgive me, Xena…” Sierra turned to her drinking companion, “But I must excuse myself for a moment, from this enchanting affair.”
Raising a worried brow and inquired, “Are you feeling bad?”
“No…I'm fine,” Sierra informed, “My Mother is calling.”
“Very well…I'll see you soon then.”
Sierra was sitting upon the ledge looking out into a darkened part of the courtyard. Next to her sat Artemis, swinging her legs back and forth.
“Mother, what's so important-”
“Must a Mother need a reason to see her own daughter?” Artemis inquired, brushing her dark tresses from her loving eyes. “Besides, you seemed to be preoccupied for a moment there.”
Sierra sighed and turned her gaze towards the heavens above.
“Sweetie, you know you can tell me anything.”
“Thank you for giving me this gift of sight,” Sierra thanked and expressed, “But sometimes, it can be a curse as well.”
“Well, there must be a balance my child.”
“I know,” Sierra nodded and revealed, “I've seen our realms united, a traitor among us, the demise of a ruler, the freedom of creative soul and the…”
“I know,” Artemis placed an assuring hand upon her daughter's shoulder, “Everything has a purpose…no matter if it's good or bad.”
“What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.”
“Yes, little one…” Artemis leaned over and kissed her cheek, “That is the way.”
“True…but I don't have to like it.”
“No,” the goddess shook her head and revealed, “Your role in it is vital…you know this.”
“Yes, I know.”
“Knock…knock!!”
“Go and do your part,” Artemis suggested and disappeared in flash.
“Come in!” Sierra called out, as she remained upon her perch above the guards below.
“Hello?” Gabrielle's soft voice replied back, as she stepped into the candle lit room. “My Queen, I was told to check on you.”
“I'm out here,” Sierra informed, “Come on over.”
“Yes, my Queen…” she said, moving quickly to the Queen's side.
“Has she placed her mark upon you?” The Queen asked, while staring at a pulsating star.
Gabrielle a questioned look flashed before her face and she shook her head, “My Queen…no she hasn't, which is strange.”
“Because her other slaves have one?”
“Yes, my Queen.”
“Well, maybe she saw something different in you.”
“Maybe, my Queen.”
“Relax, Gabrielle…” Sierra advised, turning to the blond. “Skip with the formalities when were alone.”
“Yes my-” catching herself, “Sierra.”
“Good,” Sierra grinned back and inquired, “So, does Xena know of your undying love for her?”
Gabrielle swallowed hard and uttered, “Pardon?”
“Does she know that you're her other half of her soul?”
Gabrielle blushes as she disclosed, “She knows that I love her.”
Sierra nodded and continued, “Let me guess…she's believes that love is a weakness and releases her violent side in order to gain control over you.”
How in the world would she know this…am I that readable? The Oracle silently nodded her reply.
“Warriors like us seem to have that unfortunate trait mixed in with our skills,” Sierra remarked, “The good ones usually overcome this un-honorable attribute and give into their love.”
“Do you think Xena will?”
“I don't see why not,” Sierra shrugged, “You've seen the love in her eyes right?”
“Yes, very much so…” Gabrielle replied and added, “But the darkness seems to always overwhelm it though.”
“What does your heart say?”
“It tells me Xena is my other half too and I must do whatever I can to make her see it.”
Sierra turned her gaze to the Oracle and inquired, “What would you give to have this happen?”
Gabrielle abruptly answered, “Anything.”
“Even if there would be harm done to you-”
She nodded, “Yes, if need be.”
Sierra agreed with her honest reply and continued, “If you could have one wish, what would it be?”
Gabrielle eyes made contact with ones of brown and replied, “Freedom.”
“Very good,” Sierra remarked, with a grin from ear to ear. “Tell Xena that I'm in mood for a late night sparring session and would she honor me with the use of her talented body.”
Why is she asking such questions…somehow there's just something about her. Gabrielle quickly responded, “Yes, Sierra of course.”
Sierra winked at her and decreed, “We each have special gifts and sometimes they overlap the other. Don't worry, friend. I'll be waiting in the courtyard for you both.”
Two Corinthian guards lit a few more torches around the yard, bringing more light onto the darkened area.
Sierra was standing on the side talking to Ephiny and assured, “Don't worry.”
“You could be hurt.”
“Well, then I will certainly learn from my mistake…” Sierra flashed a reassuring grin to her friend. “I'll be fine. Ephiny, you seem to worry about me more lately…” raising a brow to her close friend and remarked, “Something a Consort would do.”
Ephiny blushed softly at the comment and remained silent.
Sierra noticed this and made a large note in her memory of this. Gods…never thought Ephiny would have felt like that. Humm…
The Conqueror spoke up, “Well, this will be first and I'm honored to spar with you my Queen.” She approached, wearing her immaculately shined black leathers and a huge grin.
Gabrielle silently followed in tow behind her Liege.
“Thank you,” Sierra acknowledged with a bright smile of her own, “Let's make the session interesting.”
“Go on,” Xena said, smirking.
“Let's say if I should win…” thinking about it for a moment, “I get whatever I want.”
“All right,” the Conqueror nodded and added, “And if I win…I will handpick 50 of the best from your Elite guard and have them train my men on their techniques.”
“Very well,” Sierra held out her hand, “You, have yourself a bet…my Liege.”
The Conqueror took her hand and they shook, sealing the deal. “So, what weapons shall we use?”
“I don't know,” Sierra shrugged and addressed Gabrielle, “Oracle, choose a weapon.”
Gabrielle moved next to Ephiny, when she was called upon. “My Liege?”
Xena nodded, “Go on.”
“Staves, my Queen.”
The Conqueror glanced over at her guard, who was silently dispatched to bring the chosen weapons.
A moment later the guard came back with two staves and held them out for his Liege.
“Are you ready, Sierra?” the Conqueror inquired, chose one and twirled it around.
The Queen took the remaining one and twisted in her hands, feeling the balance. “But of course, Xena.”
Xena instantly assaulted her with a series of thrusts, left, right, left, right, a leg swipe and a head swipe. Sierra quickly blocked all the blows, jumped, ducked and released a leg swipe of her own.
Callisto silently approached an occupied camp. Within it seven soldiers were relaxing. She observed that two tents were pitched and a boar was slowly roasting over the fire. She stealthily moved towards the larger tent, keeping an eye out for any unexpected guards when she was grabbed from behind and pulled into a tight embrace.
“It's about time you showed up,” Brutus growled into her ear, “Caesar's waiting for you.”
“Ahh…Callisto, did you bring the information?” Caesar inquired, with his eyes focused on his maps.
“Yes,” Callisto replied, pulling out a scroll and held it out for him. “You have the gold?”
Caesar gestured towards Brutus, who pulled out a pouch and exchanged it for the scroll. He turned and handed the scroll to his Emperor.
Callisto opened the pouch and took a quick assessment of her reward. “It's nice doing business with you,” she remarked, turning to leave.
“Would you like to triple that amount?”
Callisto halted and slowly turned to Caesar, “What do I have to do?”
“Bring me Xena's Oracle.”
The rhythmic banging of the staves disrupted the silent calls of Natures creatures. Ephiny and Gabrielle were the only spectators besides a few guards to witness the evening's live entertainment.
Sierra kicked Xena in the chest and flipped back to give her some space. The Queen took the defensive, swinging her staff towards her opponent's head, faked a thrust and reversed it with a leg swipe.
The Conqueror stumbled back from the kick, ducked, blocked and instantly struck Sierra's rib cage. Realizing that she had overlooked the reverse and abruptly dropped to the ground.
Sierra grunted at the blow she received, swiftly disarming the Conqueror in one fluid move and pointed her staff to her sparring partner's throat. A grin formed upon her victorious face, “My Liege, that was invigorating.”
A mischievous smirk replaced a stoic gaze of the Conqueror's, as the staff was removed from her throat. “Yes, my Queen it was.”
The Queen held out her hand for the Conqueror to take and pulled her up. “I guess that means I get to choose whatever I want.” She tossed her staff at her second, who instantly caught it.
“Yes, it does.”
“My Liege and my Queen.” Gabrielle said, approaching the pair and held out two mugs of water for each to take.
Xena took the mug and finished it one gulp, “Thank you,” she replied, giving the cup back.
Sierra took hers and brought it to her lips. She finished it with two gulps and gave it back, “Thanks.”
“Tell me what you want, Sierra.”
Sierra abruptly decreed, “Gabrielle's freedom.”
Gabrielle's eyes widened at those two simple words, as they finally sank into her heart.
“WHAT?” the Conqueror uttered, taking her emotions and placed them in check. “Why would you want that?”
“I believe that she's valuable person, who deserves to be free.”
“You could have-”
“I know…her freedom will do,” Sierra reaffirmed and suggested, “As good gesture…I shall transfer 50 of my Elite guards into your army. I hope that it will soften the loss of a talented person such as her.”
“Very well,” the Conqueror nodded, realizing that she did make a bet and it would look bad if she reneged. “She will have her freedom.” She turned to her Oracle and decreed, “Gabrielle, you are free to do as you please.”
Gabrielle glowed at the news of her freedom and grin formed from ear to ear. “I'm free!” she gasped, giving Ephiny a friendly hug.
Sierra glanced towards Gabrielle's direction and flashed her a comforting smile.
The Conqueror pulled Sierra in for a searing kiss and whispered, “My Queen, I expect you to accompany me back to my chambers.”
Sierra was silenced by the unexpected kiss.
“My Liege, thank you for freeing me…” Gabrielle spoke up and approached her, “But I would like to stay here with you, my Lord.”
The Conqueror raised a questioning brow, “Oracle, you confuse me…you wanted your freedom and now you have it. Yet, you want to stay with me?”
“Yes, my Liege…” Gabrielle responded and expressed, “I love-”
“Fine,” the Conqueror interrupted, “Stay…we'll talk more about this in the morning,” she turned her attentions towards a certain Queen, “But first, we have some unfinished pleasures to continue.”
Sierra quickly glanced over at Ephiny and Gabrielle and gave them a reassuring grin.
The Conqueror took her hand and led her back into her castle. The Queen silently let herself be taken away.
Tears formed in Gabrielle's eyes at being shunned away, “But…”
“Don't worry,” Ephiny placed a gentle hand upon the Oracle's shoulder, “What made you choose the staves?”
Gabrielle shrugged, “There's something about them.”
A trail of armor and clothes led to steaming sub-level bath. Candles of all sizes were burning, giving of an intimate glow and a pitcher with two gold goblets sat on the edge.
Sierra reached over to grab her goblet of wine and was instantly pulled into Xena's embrace. She felt the firm breasts of the Conqueror upon her bare back, as a shiver of lust and desire overwhelmed all her senses. I've got to take charge of this…
Xena sensuously kissed a trail from the Queen's shoulder blade to a very sensitive neck. Where upon, she nipped at the flushed skin, as her hand found a perky nipple and pinched it. “I can quench your thirst, my Lady…” she purred, gently turning the Queen's head and adoringly kissed her.
Sierra's body betrayed her and fell into the sizzling kiss. Blood migrated towards a certain part of her body, as she ultimately spoke those four important words. “Do you love her?”
Xena paused for a moment, as the question finally registered. “Huh?” she muttered, eyes turning lustfully dark. “A four-letter lie between two individuals to get whatever they want,” she recited and spun her prey around to face her. The Conqueror's lips locked on an erect nipple, sucking roughly then, slowly licking a circle around it
The Queen tried her best to keep conversation going to no avail, knowing full well that she couldn't change her part. She let a moan slip past her lips and felt the busy tongue slowly travel north.
Licking a trail towards a collarbone, past the erogenous neck and to a luscious pair of lips. She leaned over and planted a scorching kiss upon them. Xena ran her fingers though the Queen's short hair and roughly pulled her from the kiss. “You're mine,” she growled, “I'm the only person who could make you feel this way,” kissing her cheek, “Am I right?”
Sierra's breath quickened, as her body hungered for the Conqueror's touch.
The Conqueror outlined her majesties jaw line with her tongue and whispered, “I wonder,” a hand lowered onto a furry mound and parted a set of nether lips. Feeling the warm center filled with the ambrosia she'd be longing to taste for the past few days and plunged two fingers in. “I believe your body knows the truth,” she taunted, bringing her wet digits to her awaiting lips and sensuously licked them clean.
The Queen whimpered at the loss of the long fingers and the emptiness that came after. All her negative thoughts were thrown to a side room, slamming the door shut and locking it. Desire, lust and hunger for the Liege, released the longing that had been unrequited.
The Conqueror gazed into the submissive eyes of the Queen, which solidified it. She picked the startled woman up and tossed her over her shoulder and climbed out of the bath. “I'll show you who your Mistress is.”
Gabrielle lay sleepless in her bed, listening to the thralls of ecstasy coming from her Liege's chambers. Why must I hear this…Gods, I'm free yet, I know I must stay here in order for Xena to realize that we belong together. A tear fell down her bruised cheek, as she fought off a sob. Part me wishes that I was in there…at least I would be with her. She wiped the tear with the back of her hand and curled up into a ball. She closed her eyes and tried to ignore the fact that the other half of her soul is making love to another.
Callisto silently stood there, listening to the moans and groans coming from her Liege's chambers. A smirk formed on her face, as she recognized the other voice as the Queens. “My…my…Xena, dumped your little blond for powerful Queen…” she muttered, “I'm impressed.” She glanced over at the Oracle's balcony and a devious plan formed, “Maybe someone needs some company.” She chuckled at the plan and entered the castle in search of a lonely Oracle.
Xena pumped her phallus fiercely into the bound Amazon. The leather straps held her captive's hands and feet apart, spreading her completely out. She bent down, nipping at an erect nipple and moved in for another blazing kiss. Her tongue entered a willing mouth, as she drove her favorite toy into the tight Queen. Propelling them both into a yet another exquisite orgasm. The Conqueror shakily removed the toy and slowly released the thick binds, freeing her captive. She then collapsed on top of her spent lover. “I love you, Gab…” she muttered softly, as her body succumbed to Morpheus' realm.
Sierra slowed her breathing down and enveloped the trembling Xena in her
arms. A heartening grin formed upon her equally satisfied face. The mighty
Destroyer finally succumbed to the truth…good.
“KNOCK..KNOCK!!”
Gabrielle slowly climbed out of bed, wearing only her shift. She opened the door and yawned, “Hello?”
Callisto was leaning against the doorframe, “Good evening Gabrielle.”
“Callisto, what brings you to my door?”
“I was wondering if you would like to talk.”
“About what?”
“May I enter?” Callisto inquired, brushing past the Oracle. “Did I catch you at a bad time?”
“Not really…I was only sleeping,” Gabrielle responded, shaking her head and closed the door.
“Well, that's nice…” Callisto remarked, walking around the darkened room. “I'm surprised that anyone could sleep with all that moaning going on.”
“Well, one must deal with one must deal.”
Callisto plopped herself down on the Oracle's bed, “Oooo…so cryptic, Gabrielle.”
“What do you want Callisto?”
“We have something in common.”
“And that would be?”
The Liege's second nonchalantly stared at her nails, “Well, we've both been dumped by the Conqueror.”
“I don't think-”
“Before you make an excuse for our Liege,” Callisto interrupted, “I was once an honored warrior, second only to my Liege…” she sighed, “Now, I'm used as a common runner for her.”
“Well, you are doing something important.”
“Don't be facetious!” She grumbled, “While OUR Liege tossed YOU to the side for some Amazon ass, which by the way is nice.”
Gabrielle rolled her eyes at the perverted comment, “Thank you for sharing…but our Liege will choose whomever she wants to sleep with.”
“Doesn't it hurt just a little bit?” Callisto sat up and queried further, “Come on…” gesturing with her thumb and forefinger, “a tiny bit.”
“I…it-it doesn't matter.”
“If I was her sex slave…I'd be a bit peeved.”
“Well, I'm NOT a slave anymore.”
A brow shot up at that comment and she uttered, “What?”
“Xena freed me earlier this evening,” Gabrielle revealed, “So, I'm a free citizen of Corinth.”
“How?”
“Does it matter?”
“I guess not,” Callisto voiced, rising to her feet in utter shock.
Gabrielle opened her door and suggested to her late guest, “Would you do me the honor of visiting me at a time when the Sun is up?”
“Very well,” Callisto exited out of the Oracle's room, “We'll have our girl talk later.”
“Fine,” Gabrielle nodded, closing the door and quickly bolted it. “I can't wait.”
“I believe that you both need to talk,” Sierra spoke up from the scroll she was reading. The Queen was wearing a plain black outfit, as she stretched out her legs. She rolled the scroll up and leaned back in her chair. “I know the truth and YOU know the truth.”
The Conqueror was relaxing in her warm bath, sipping from her goblet of wine. “Impossible!” She rebutted and added, “I do not have feelings for HER.”
“Well, I guess you just call out any old name when you orgasm.”
“It was just a slip-”
“Sure, Xena…” Sierra muttered, as she rose to her feet. “Keep fooling yourself,” she taunted and anxiously began to pace, “And I thought the Conqueror would be wiser than that.”
“You think?” The Conqueror uttered, raising a brow at that comment. “Taunting me, huh?” She remarked, smirking.
“I know so.”
“Get in the tub.”
The Queen shook her head, “NO.”
A brow shot up at her unexpected reply, “Excuse me?”
“I said no,” Sierra repeated, “I will not be YOUR sex object anymore.”
“You will do as I say.”
Sierra faced the steaming Conqueror and decreed, “I am the Queen of the Amazon Nation and I bow to NO ONE.”
The Conqueror was silenced by the Queen's outburst and realized her mistake, “I'm sorry if I offended you.”
“Forgiven,” Sierra quickly responded and continued, “Xena, I'd be lying if I told you that I didn't have fun…which by the way has left a colorful impression on me for seasons to come. My friend, I'm not the one.”
Xena climbed out of the tub and approached the Queen, leaving a trail of wet footprints behind her. “Then who is?”
Gabrielle stormed into the room and bee-lined it to her Liege. She possessively sought the Conqueror's lips and passionately kissed her. Her tongue entered her Mistress' mouth and hunted for its partner, conquering it. The Oracle grabbed a handful of wet hair and roughly pulled Xena from her lips. Upon catching her breath and she spoke up, “I am.”
Awed at the sudden aggressiveness of her little Oracle, “You think so?”
“I know so,” Gabrielle retorted, releasing her Liege and sauntered out the door.
Xena just stood there, as her body betrayed her stony dexterity and began to melt the icy heart of hers. Realizing that within her dark heart a vital part was missing and she knew at that instant it belonged to her. She mentally tried to fight off the primal urge to follow the blond and released a low growl.
The Queen approached the Conqueror from behind and whispered softly, “Now, lie to me and tell me you didn't feel anything.” She held out a silk robe and advised, “I suggest you find the other part of YOUR soul and make up. So, WE can get back to planning Caesar's demise.”
The Conqueror turned to the grinning Queen and took the offering. “Thanks,” she flashed her a sly smirk and rushed out, “I'll be back.”
“Take your time.”
Tears were streaming down Gabrielle's flushed cheeks, as sobs raked her body. I've done it now…I had to show her. “Please listen to your heart Xena,” she whispered to the wind, “I'm there…we're there.”
“I believe I took the first step,” the Conqueror softly spoke up, as she wrapped her strong arms round her Oracle's waist and pulled her into her body. “With the help of a persistent Queen.”
“I'm sorry,” Gabrielle apologized, relaxing against her lover's body. “No, I'm not…” she corrected and turned around to face her, “I'm not sorry for loving you, Xena.” Her eyes made contact with tear filled ones of the Conqueror. “We're meant for one another,” she affirmed and gently wiped a falling tear from Xena's cheek, “Please, understand this.”
The Conqueror caressed Gabrielle's cheek with the back of her hand, “I do, little one.” The darkness subsided within her and unfamiliar warmth in her heart grew, spreading through her entire body. “Gabrielle, I don't know if I'm capable of love…” She honestly revealed, “And I'm not sure about all these feelings that I'm having.”
“Xena, does it burn from deep within?”
Xena slowly nodded.
“When you try and push it away, does it come back with a vengeance?”
She silently nodded again.
“Does your darkness fear it?”
“Yes.”
“It's love Xena,” Gabrielle revealed, smiling. “One of the most revered emotions known to all of humanity.”
The Conqueror leaned over and fervently kissed the woman who stole her heart. She abruptly picked Gabrielle up and quickly carried her to the bed. Xena hurriedly removed the cloth barriers that covered her lover's body and tossed them over her shoulder. Feeling her silk robe being removed as well. Xena hungered for those moist lips and moved in for another taste. She guided her love down, flesh upon flesh and positioned herself between the inviting legs of her mate.
“Xena, touch me…”
Xena obliged by gently squeezing her firm round breasts and nipping the small of her neck. A small growl escaped her lips as her thumbs bring nippy out to play. “I've desired you for far too long…” she whispered, taking a perky nipple into her mouth. “Oh, XENA…” Gabrielle moaned, felling her lover's tongue flicking her sensitive nipple. She ran her fingers through her lover's raven hair, feeling her body melt under that VERY talented tongue. “I need you…”
“What do you need, little one?” Xena inquired, licking a trail towards her other breast. She reached her goal, a firm nipple just waiting for attention and quickly latched onto it. Grazing its sensitive skin with her teeth and tongue.
“Xena, PLEASE…” Gabrielle shuttered, “I need your touch.”
Xena moved up, needing to taste her again and hungrily sucked her Oracle's lip. Her tongue entered into an awaiting mouth and fought its owner for dominance. She pulled away from the battle the victor and breathed, “You have it…”
“Please Xena…” An out of breath Gabrielle spoke up, felling her loins burning with need. She roughly squeezed the firm buttocks of her Liege and warned, “Don't make me go Amazon on your ass.”
The Conqueror raised a brow at her attempt to threaten and chuckle at the thought. Nevertheless, she lowered her hand towards the soft mound, caressing its fine blond hairs before teasing her love. She began nibbling on a blushed earlobe and breathed into it, “Ooooo…I think I like that.”
Gabrielle moved herself to the wandering fingers of her love, in which happens to move away from her goal. “Xena…” she released a low growl, forcibly grabbed her tormenter's hand and guided it towards her center.
Xena grinned as her hand was guided to the warm center of her lover. She sought those voluptuous lips once more, as she plunged two fingers into the super moist entrance. Feeling her love shutter under her and the strong muscles tightening around her long digits. “I've always loved your heavenly scent Gabrielle.”
Gabrielle released her breath as she met with the rhythmic thrusts of her Liege. “Oh gods!” She gasped as another finger was inserted into her tight entrance. She raised her thigh in between her lover's center, rubbing it. Feeling Xena's juices coating her soft skin and slowly moving down her thigh. “GODS XENNA….”
Xena gyrated her swollen sex against the offered thigh, releasing a throaty groan. Her thumb circled its prey before rubbing the already hard nub. She abruptly pulled her wet digits out and preceded to use her lubricated index finger on the nub, flicking and rubbing it until the all too familiar spasms quaked her loves body. She quickly brought herself to the edge of an orgasm and held it there, waiting for Gabrielle. “Gabriellleee,” she drawled, focusing on bringing her Oracle to a climax.
Between Gabrielle's shallow breaths were the moans, “Xennaaa…yessss…Xeeennnaa!!” Feeling her body reaching its peak and impaled her fingernails into her lover's back. Her nub was abruptly pinched, startling her from all her thoughts and causing an inner explosion. “XEEEENNNNAAAA!!!!!” she cried out, as the powerful orgasm overtook her body.
“Rielle…Rielle…” Xena breathed, rubbing her erect nub one final time and released herself as well. “GABBBBBRRRIELLLEEEEEE!!!” Her overpowering orgasm erupted from deep within, freeing the darkness and cleansing her eternal soul. Xena's spent body quaked with tiny tremors and collapsed upon her mate. She instinctively wrapped her strong arms protectively around her recovering love and began to cry.
“I love you,” Gabrielle whispered, cradling her soul mate's head upon her bosom. She ran her fingers through Xena's disheveled hair and tenderly kissed her on the head. “Xena, I'll always be with you…” she assured, kissing her once again. Feeling her lover's sobs mollifying against her body as joyful tears filled her blissful eyes.
“Rielle, I-I…uh.”
“Don't force it,” Gabrielle spoke up and expressed softly, “Let your heart guide you and you won't go wrong.”
“Thank you,” Xena whispered, giving her a reassuring squeeze before closing her eyes. “Rielle, I don't deserve this-”
“Don't say that,” she interrupted, lifting Xena's head up and cradled her lover's face in her hands. She stared into the loving eyes of the Conqueror and decreed, “Of all the people in this world…you deserve it the most.”
The Conqueror sniffed as a grin formed upon her face. She leaned over and captured those soft lips once again for another searing kiss.
Sierra was approaching her Regent when an overwhelmed pain erupted through her head. She dropped to her knees in pain as the throbbing to her temples grew and a flash of light blinded her.
“SIERRA!!” Ephiny called out and rushed to her Queen's side. “WE NEED A HEALER, NOW!!!”
“MY QUEEN!!!” Eponin shouted, charging towards them.
“No…” Sierra groaned, holding her face in her hands. “Not again…” she muttered, as blurred images flashed before her minds eye. Roman soldiers were brutally beating someone up, Caesar backhanding someone, a ship setting sail, Caesar viciously raping someone and finally a sea of blood. Another bright flash of light, then everything went black. Her body tensed up and she collapsed into her Regents awaiting arms.
Ephiny assured her, “Sierra, it's going to be alright…”
“She just collapsed?” The Conqueror repeated.
“Yes,” Ephiny nodded, “She held her head in her hands before she collapsed in my arms.”
“Did she say anything before she fell?”
The Regent replied, “Sierra only said no and not again.”
Gabrielle brought in pitcher of water and sat it upon the nightstand, “Here you go, Karis.”
Karis, the Conqueror's personal healer for the past ten winters now, wiped his patient's brow and wrung the rag into the bucket at his feet. He brushed his gray tresses from his intense brown eyes and spoke up, “My Liege, she has slight fever and is sleeping comfortably now. I'm sorry, but I found no causes for her majesties unconsciousness.”
The Conqueror retorted, “None?”
Karis shook his head, “My Liege…none.”
“Thank you, Karis…” the Conqueror said, “You may go.”
“As you wish, my Liege…” he bowed and quickly exited out of the room.
The Conqueror turned to the Regent and probed, “Has Sierra ever collapsed before?”
“Never,” Ephiny responded, glancing down at her sleeping friend. “Why?”
“To rule out any preconditions that might have affected her.”
Ephiny thought back for a moment and shook her head, “Well, I've never even seen her sick.”
“Hummm…” Xena contemplated it for a moment and accessed all her knowledge in the healing arts. “We must be overlooking something.”
Gabrielle wiped the sleeping Queen's brow with the warm cloth and spoke up, “The Queen is an Oracle like myself.”
Ephiny, Eponin and Xena turned to the blond and uttered in unison, “What?”
Gabrielle turned to them, “Sierra said that she had a gift like mine and that they overlap at times.”
“An Oracle,” Xena repeated, nodding. “It makes since. I've seen Oracles go into fits of spasms when they receive a vision.”
“It must be one hell of a vision,” Eponin remarked.
“They can be very draining on the body,” Gabrielle enlightened.
“Gods…” Ephiny muttered, “I've been her friend for so long and never-”
“I'm sorry, Ephiny…” Sierra apologized, climbing out of bed. “I should've of told you.”
“SIERRA!” Ephiny gasped, rushed up to her friend and passionately kissed her. She gently pulled away from her breathless Queen and chastised, “You scared the shit out of me!”
“I'm sorry…” Sierra stared into her worried eyes, “This time it got the best of me, I guess.”
“Forgiven,” Ephiny said, hugging her best friend. “We really need to talk,” she whispered, kissing her gently on the cheek.
“Sure, Ephiny…” Sierra replied, pulling away from the warm embrace and turning to her guests. “Sorry, if I caused any inconveniences-”
“You didn't,” the Conqueror gestured, “Besides I've got to keep Karis on his toes.”
Gabrielle spoke up, “My Queen-”
“Gabrielle we're all friends here,” Sierra stated, looking around her. “Sierra will be fine.”
“Sierra, would you like to discuss your vision?”
“I'm sorry Gabrielle,” the Queen shook her head and informed, “But I can't say anything right now.”
“All right.”
Sierra turned to her Captain, “Eponin, gather everyone up and have our horses ready for the trip home.”
“Yes, Sierra…” the Captain replied.
“We're leaving tonight.”
“As you wish, my Queen…” Eponin grinned and made a hasty exit.
Ephiny worriedly inquired, “Are you sure your up to traveling?”
“I'm fine,” Sierra flashed her a reassuring grin and approached her host, “Xena, I want to thank you for being a VERY entertaining host.”
“Thank you, Sierra…” Xena thanked and suggested, “You know you don't have to leave at this very moment.”
“I know,” the Queen nodded and held out her hand, “But the sooner we leave-”
“Alright,” the Conqueror affirmed, taking her and firmly shook it. She pulled her friend into a warm embrace. “Safe journey's then, my friend.”
“Well, that's the thing…” Sierra grinned and purposed, “I want to invite you both to my realm. Care to take a journey with us, my friend?”
The Conqueror turned to her grinning Oracle for a moment, seeking the answer. Gabrielle turned to her lover and quickly nodded a reply. “We humbly accept your offer and it would be an honor to travel with you.”
WARNING: There is a vicious rape scene
coming up, if you can't handle it
PLEASE skip over it.
Corinthian guardsmen were patrolling around the large camp, as the Elite guards kept watch from their hidden perches above.
The camp was now settling in for the rest of the night. There were five campfires slowly cooking their various catches, many rabbits, a few squirrels and a raccoon or two. Amazons and Corinthian solders were huddled around the fires, relaxing and waiting for their meals to finish cooking.
Gabrielle was in a loving embrace of her Liege, as they silently sat before a large roaring fire. She thanked, “Xena, thanks for asking me earlier.”
“Oh, the trip…no problem.”
The hungry flames roasted their meal of three plump rabbits. The succulent juices dripped into the hot flames, causing it to sizzle and pop.
The Oracle spoke up, “Those rabbits are huge.”
“Yes, they are…” the Conqueror nodded and inquired, “So, how do you like the trip so far?”
“It's beautiful country, Xena.”
“I know…”
“The air feels cleaner and more refreshing,” Gabrielle expressed, grinning.
Xena kissed her lover on cheek and affirmed, “That it does little one, that it does.”
“Xena, shouldn't we turn the rabbits over?”
“I guess…”
“You guess?” Gabrielle repeated, turning to her love. “Don't you know how to cook?”
The Conqueror flashed her a reassuring grin, “Sorta.”
“Sorta?”
“Yeah,” she nodded and revealed, “I sorta burn it…does that count?”
Gabrielle nudged her in the gut with her elbow and chuckled, “Noooo…silly.”
“Well, do you know how to cook?”
“Not really…” she shook her head and remarked, “How hard could it be?”
Xena was busy nibbling the neck of a certain blond Oracle to answer to the question before her. “I could be…verrryyyy…hard,” she drawled, licking a trail towards her love's ear.
“Xeennaaaaa….”
Sierra spoke up, “You have a point there…”
“Lick, lick, slurp, lick, lick, slurp, slurp, lick…uuuummmmm…”
The Queen was leaning against the trunk of the large oak, with her head back and eyes closed. Her breathing grew heavier and she softly moaned, “Godddeesssss…” She tightened her grip on the branch above her, bracing herself.
Ephiny was topless as she knelt before her Queen. Her tongue was flicking expertly over an erect nub, bringing her new lover to a peak of ecstasy. The musky taste of her best friend upon her lips caused her to shudder, feeling her own orgasm approaching. She wrapped her arms around her love's naked thighs steadying her for the impending release.
Sierra held the branch in a death grip, as her legs gave out from under her. Letting a loud guttural moan escape her lips and called out, “EPPPPHHIIINNYYYY!!!!!” Shuddering uncontrollably as her body finally reached its peak and more.
The Regent willingly lapped up all the sweet fluid that her lover gave her as a reward. She quickly licked HER Queen dry and gently kissed each thigh, before slowly traveling north to a pair of delicious lips. Ephiny sought those lips, as her tongue entered the willing lips and found its partner.
Sierra's hands were caressing the breasts before her, as her tongue fought for dominance. Feeling her clothes being hastily removed and tossed to the ground with her already discarded pants.
“YOU'RE ALL MINE, MY QUEEN…” Ephiny growled between breaths, pulling her
lover into her body.
The Queen's voice echoed through the still night air, “EPPPPHHIIINNYYYY!!!!!”
Gabrielle and Xena looked up from their dinners and silently stared at one another.
“I guess their little talk was a productive one,” Xena remarked, smirking.
“Stop that…” Gabrielle playfully punched her Liege in the arm, “Be nice.”
“Me be nice?” she scoffed, “I'm the Conqueror, the Destroyer of Nations…being nice isn't in my handbook-”
Gabrielle leaned over and planted a searing kiss upon the Destroyer's lips,
silencing her. “It is now,” she gently decreed, staring into her lover's eyes.
“So, I heard your little talk went well…” Xena spoke up and nonchalantly brushed her hand upon her finely oiled black leathers.
Sierra eyed her riding companion, “Ephiny had some good points that I couldn't resist.”
“I bet…” she remarked, tightening the silver chain that held her black cape in place.
“Besides, you two seemed to be enjoying yourselves as well.”
“Thank you,” Xena thanked, flashing her a grin.
“You're welcome,” the Queen said, as her fellow traveling companions entered into the realm. “My friends, welcome to Ephesus.” She glanced over at the Conqueror, then back at Gabrielle and Marcus.
“Wow,” Gabrielle uttered under her breath and taking in the sight of the large Amazon tribe. “The legendary tribe of Ephesus.”
“You've read about this place?” Marcus whispered, looking into the large gathering of Amazons.
“Of course,” she nodded and enlightened, “Legend has it that Artemis came to the first Cyane in a dream. The Goddess foretold that she would build a great tribe for her sisters and for generations thereafter.”
“Interesting…” he said and disclosed, “All I know about it is that men are not allowed. Gods, by some chance that one may enter their lands- let's say…they're never heard from again.”
Sierra overheard the pair talking and spoke up, “Tis true about no males allowed, but times have changed. They are only allowed upon our lands, with the Queen's permission and or blessing. Some of our sisters are married to males and contrary to popular belief…males do live with their mates, along with their male offspring. Some do by chance, live in the various Centaur villages nearby. Males do not hold any power whatsoever. Some are even are taught how to fight if they so desire it, while others do basic chores.”
Marcus and Gabrielle silently turned to the other.
“About the myth that we kidnap men from their warm beds and force them to become our studs…” she revealed and added with a mischievous grin, “Well, that's true.”
“You're kidding…right?” he uttered aloud.
The Conqueror chuckled at her gullible, head of Security.
“Nope,” Eponin affirmed, flashing him a toothy grin and quick wink.
Marcus finally got the joke and muttered, “Ha…ha…ha.”
Amazon sisters greeted them with welcoming cheers and chants. “HAIL QUEEN SIERRIA!!!” they shouted and fell to one knee as she passed them.
“Greetings, my sisters!” Sierra shouted, grinning warmly towards her sisters. “Welcome the Nations new ally and friend, the Conqueror.”
Her Amazon sisters honorably saluted the Conqueror. They instantly made a fist with their right hand, hit their upper chest and raised it to their ally in respect.
The Conqueror scanned the large crowed of Amazons around her, grinning and returned their greeting.
The procession halted in the center of the tribe and everyone quickly
dismounted.
A large black and gray falcon glided through the late afternoon breeze. His wings expanded to its full length, gracefully banked and revealed a small parchment tied to its right talon.
A cloaked rider sat upon a gray mare on top of a ridge, overlooking a flowery meadow. The rider lowered their hood, revealing Calisto deep in thought. She wore a thick leather glove upon her left hand and held it out, waiting.
The large hawk squawked out. He then made his descent towards a familiar gloved hand, making a perfect landing upon the offered hand. He squawked another greeting, instinctively brought his wings into his body and looked up at his mistress' caring face.
“Hello, Grahf…” she greeted, removing the message from his leg. “How's my little boy?”
He replied with an ecstatic squawk.
“What did you think of the nice Romans?” she sarcastically inquired, unrolling the parchment and reading it.
Grahf squawked twice, lifted his tail and doodied.
“That much, huh?” Callisto remarked, grinning.
Friend of
Rome's,
We will meet you at the ruins. Remember under no circumstances is the blond to be harmed.
Caesar
“Pompous ass…” she grumbled, “What does he
think I am…an idiot?”
Grahf silently stared up at her.
“We'll see who's laughing in the end,” she muttered to her bird, “Now won't
we?” Callisto abruptly nudged her horse forward, down the worn
path.
A celebration was taking place in the center of the Tribe, welcoming the new way to come. Dancers were forming a circle and moving gracefully to the rhythmic drums. Lone calls and shouts, from other joyful sisters harmonized with the ritualistic chants.
The Queen silently sat upon her throne that overlooked the festivities. On her right, sat a grinning Ephiny. The Conqueror was to the left and next to her an empty chair.
“Come dawn, you can choose the best from my Elite,” the Queen stated.
“That will be fine,” Xena nodded, glancing over at her approaching lover.
Gabrielle carried with her four mugs of wine and held them out for everyone. “Here you go, guys.”
“Thanks, love…” Xena spoke up, flashing her a grin and taking an offered mug.
“Thanks,” Sierra grinned, relieving her of a mug.
“Gabrielle thanks…” Ephiny said, taking a small sip from it.
“You're all welcome,” Gabrielle spoke up and made herself comfortable next to Xena. “This is great!”
Ephiny enlightened, “Well, Amazon celebrations can be a hoot at times!”
The Conqueror silently nodded.
“Yes,” Sierra agreed, “You never know what's going to happen.”
Gabrielle turned her gaze upon the dancers before her. She observed that four young girls, carrying staves entered into the center of the circle. “They're so young…” she uttered and noticed that each girl was not more than fourteen winters old.
The young bloods paired up and began a graceful dance with their staves. Upper thrust, lower thrust, right, left, right, left, leg swipe and head swipe. Each partner blocked the other with ease and retaliating with their own series of attacks.
“We start to teach them on their tenth season,” Ephiny revealed, taking a sip. “They start out on the Staves and go from there.”
“Wow…” Gabrielle muttered, observing them with youthful enthusiasm. Her eyes glowed and her heart thumped louder by the Staves impact on one another. Something familiar is calling me… “Is it hard to master?”
“Hard is relative,” Xena responded, eyeing her lover and realized what she had in mind. “It takes a lot of work and even then…a wise master knows that learning is a never-ending path.”
“When one believes that the lesson is at an end, then they are the fools…” Sierra added and continued on, “For a fool believes they're a Master and deemed that continuous training is worthless.”
“Of course,” Gabrielle nodded and expressed, “I'd loved to learn how to use a staff.”
“Very well then,” Sierra said, rising to her feet. “Let's assess your abilities,” she revealed, turning to one of the teens and held her hand out. “May I?”
The young bloods halted their sparring and took a step back.
“Yes, my Queen…” the young Amazon bowed her head and handed her Queen the practice staff.
The dancers stepped back, clearing a large radius around their Queen. The celebrators paused in their actions and turned their attention towards center of the circle.
“You want me to spar with you?” Gabrielle uttered aloud, “But…I don't know-”
Sierra interrupted, “You'd be surprised to know that some individuals have a natural talent for it.”
“But…” the Oracle turned to her lover for support, “Xe?”
“I don't know…” the Conqueror hesitantly spoke up and placed a gentle hand upon her knee, “It's up to you love,”
“I have a feeling about you,” the Queen expressed with a sly smirk, “I'll be very gentle with you…you have my word.”
“If you think so,” Gabrielle responded and rose to her feet. She glanced over at Xena, whose eyes radiated with support. She slowly approached Sierra, “Alright then.” Another young blood handed a practice staff to her. “Thanks,” she said, taking the worn staff and faced her first sparring partner, which happened to be the Queen of the Amazons. Am I fool or what? Nahh… “Promise?”
“I promise.”
“Okay, what do I do?” the Oracle inquired, tightening her grip on the hardwood staff. Feels like its part of me…an extension of myself. A tingling sensation overwhelming her entire body and something awoke in her soul. She instinctively twirled the staff in her hands and once around her body, warming herself up. Gods…how in the world? It feels so natural.
Xena raised a brow at her lover's warm up. Nice…considering that she's never welded one before. She glanced across the clearing and noticed that Marcus was deep in conversation with a cute brunette. A small smirk formed upon her face, as she turned back to her love.
“Okay,” the Queen spoke up, “I want you to attack me with your staff.”
“But…I don't know-”
Sierra twirled her staff, loosing herself up and moved into position. “Just go by instinct, Gabrielle. I can handle it…I'm not an innocent maiden, you know.”
Gabrielle nodded, “Alright.”
“Good,” she flashed her a grin, “All you have to say is stop and we'll quit, okay?”
“Sure,” the blond responded and made her move. She attacked with a quick thrust to the head, then a left, right, left, right and leg swipe.
Sierra grinned broadly as she instinctively blocked the thrust, then halted the left, right, left, right moves and jumped over the swipe. She countered with a slowed series of right, left, right, left moves, then a leg swipe of her own.
Gabrielle dissipated all her sparring partner's blows, with perfect blocks of her own and quickly leapt over the swipe. A small smile formed upon her face, as she swung her staff towards her opponent's head, faked it and reversed it with an instant leg swipe.
The Queen blocked the swipe with her foot, brought her staff up and under Gabrielle's. Neatly pulling her off balance and was about to finish the move off.
“STOP!” Gabrielle uttered, as she was about to fall flat on her face.
Sierra instantly held onto her sparring partner and brought her back to her feet. “You okay?” she inquired, taking a quick once over and made sure she didn't harm the young Oracle. “I didn't hurt you did I?”
“Oh, no…” Gabrielle spoke up, taking in a much-needed breath. “I'm fine…I was scared that's all,” she revealed, wiping her brow with the back of her hand.
“Understandable.”
“I can't believe that I just did that,” she gasped, grinning broadly.
“Well, my instincts were right about you…” the Queen disclosed, “You are a natural through and through.”
“I still don't believe it…”
“Well, believe it…” Sierra affirmed, tossing both staves back to their perspective owners. “I would advise your lover over there to start on your lessons,” she gestured and teased, “I mean in between the lovemaking and all.”
“Hey,” Gabrielle nudged her in the side and lowered her voice a notch, “I could say something about last night-”
Sierra flashed her a guilty grin and enlightened, “Learning is like opium…once you tried it you can't get enough of it.”
“So, true.”
The Moon's rays shone into the large guest hut, which glistened the sweat from the heated bodies. The young lovers were intertwined in each other's arms after a gentle session of lovemaking.
“That was-” Gabrielle drew a blank and chuckled at herself, “Gods…I can't even describe it.”
Xena beamed at her dumbfounded lover and placed a gentle kiss upon her head. “Rielle, you're the one that brings it out of me love.”
A blush over came her entire body at the sweet comment. She lowered her head upon Xena's chest and gently kissed a breast. “Xe, that's so sweet…but I can't take all the credit-”
“Yes, you can.”
“But, Xe-”
“Listen to me Rielle,” Xena spoke up, as she ran her fingers through her lover's short hair. “YOU…” she purred, “My lovely Oracle/Bard have lightened up my otherwise dark life. YOUR light subdued the dark entity that held me a prisoner.” She kissed her forehead again, “And for THAT I'm eternally grateful. So, when I say that you deserve all the credit…then by all HERA, you do.”
Gabrielle tightened her embrace and whispered, “Xe, thank you letting me into your life.”
“The pleasure is all yours,” she retorted, smirking. “You stayed, as I recalled.”
“You know what I mean,” she growled playfully.
“I know and you're welcome,” Xena said and congratulated, “Your first sparring session was a success.”
“You think?”
“Yes,” she nodded, “I'm very proud of you.”
“Thank you…” she murmured and snuggled up, “I didn't even think…my body just reacted. It felt so natural.”
“That's good, Rielle…” Xena affirmed and revealed, “I knew you were special, when I first laid my eyes upon you.”
“Really?” Gabrielle probed, lifting her head up.
Xena nodded, “Would you like me to teach you?”
“Would you?” she asked, eyes beaming.
“It would be an honor.”
“Goodie!”
“Now, lets get some rest…” Xena advised, chuckling. “We have a busy day ahead
of us.”
The pressing of her bladder caused Gabrielle to slowly wake from Morpheus' realm. She gently pulled herself from the Conqueror's protective embrace and climbed out of bed. “Tartarus…” she muttered under breath.
Xena felt the comforting weight lift off of her and lazily muttered, “What's wrong Rielle?”
“Go back to sleep, Xe…”
Xena half-heartedly raised her head and opened a sleepy eye, “You sure?”
“A bush is calling me.”
“K…” the sleepy-eyed Conqueror laid her head back down and fell back asleep.
Gabrielle threw on a shift and whispered back, “I love you Xe.” She silently exited out of the hut and made a beeline towards a large cluster of bushes behind the hut. After she was finished with her business, she heard a branch snap in two. “Who's there?” she whispered, looking around her. She suddenly felt a needle prick her in the shoulder and glanced down. Her eyes widened at the site of a dart embedded into her flesh. “What the?” she muttered, pulling it out.
A smirking Callisto stepped out from the shadows, “It's only little old me.”
“Callisto?” she gasped out, as the world around her grew fuzzy and everything went dark. She then collapsed to the ground in a soft thud.
“Awwww…” Callisto purred, caressing Gabrielle's cheek. “You look so peaceful sleeping beauty. No wonder you're our Conqueror's sex toy—I should get a tiny taste of you my dear and find out what's so special about you.” She picked her up and tossed the unconscious girl over her shoulder. The second in command then disappeared back into the shadows, carrying her precious cargo with her.
I guess all that time I spent with those Amazons when I was growing up
paid off. Callisto unceremoniously flung her cargo onto her horse and
mounted behind her. She sat her prisoner up and wrapped her arms around
Gabrielle's waist, taking the reins. She spurred her mare on and charged out of
the scene. “You are a beauty,” she murmured, taking in the sweet smell of the
young thing. “You have her scent upon you. I'm going to have to clean you
up…I don't like sloppy seconds, my dear.”
Gabrielle woke with a
startle, as her body was drenched with freezing water. She tried to cry out, but
a cloth tied around her head muffled it. “OMUPH!!!” she muttered and tried to
struggle. Her hands and feet were tied down and she was spread eagle. She felt
the soft ground underneath her and the soft breeze upon her naked flesh. What
happened? The last thing she remembered was seeing Callisto's smirking face.
Gods, NO!!!
“OOOOO…your finally awake,” Callisto taunted into her ear, “It's no use, sweetie…you can't get away from me and when I'm through you won't want too either.”
“FUNKU!!” she roared back, the curse muffled. Her eyes glared at the fully clothed blond next to her.
“Insulting me will get you everywhere,” she purred, kissing the Oracle's nipple. A tongue darted out, caressing its nub and bringing it to out to play. “Is this what she does to you?” she inquired, as she settled her body between her captive's thighs. She ran her index finger casually down the Gabrielle's abs and further downward. Her mouth watered and her loins called out to take this woman before her, NOW. She chuckled at herself and brought her lips upon the erect nub, nibbling it.
Please no…don't do this. She whimpered, feeling her body betraying her for this sick bitch. Xe, please help me… Gabrielle felt the unwelcome tongue move further south and knew she would lose this fight if she didn't try and break free. She struggled once more and felt the leather ties holding her down tight. She released a sigh and closed her eyes to the inevitable.
“Still have some fight in ya after all,” she gloated, “Makes no difference, sweetie. I'll make you beg for release.” Callisto paused for a moment at the curly patch of her prisoner's and took in the aroused scent. “See, Gabrielle…your body likes my touch.”
Gabrielle imagined herself in a field with Xe holding to her close. She was abruptly brought back to reality by a swift nip to her erect nub. “OOMPH!” she gasped, opening her eyes and glanced down at the guilty offender.
“Keep your eyes focused on me,” Callisto growled, sucking the nub gently. Her eyes were filled with lust and hunger, as she plunged her tongue into Gabrielle's moist center. The taste was heavenly upon her heated lips. The muscles instinctively tightened around her tongue and she released a low moan. Her loins roared out for attention, as well and continued to thrust inside the woman's center, raping her.
Gabrielle's eyes never left Callisto's even after the penetration. Tears filled her eyes and cascaded down her flushed cheeks. She had no way of stopping this and was utterly defeated on top of that. Her body continued to betray her, as she felt the heat building from with in.
Caesar stealthy came up from behind her and violently pulled Callisto from his captive. He tossed her into the arms of his awaiting soldiers and roared, “I told you NOT to harm her!”
“I wasn't harming her!” Callisto retorted and tried to unsuccessfully to gain her composure, “She wants it.”
“I don't want to hear any of YOUR excuses,” he growled and lowered his attention to young Oracle. His eyes ravished over the blond, then focused on the blue-green ones that stared right back. “Untie her,” he ordered, “Cover her and bind her hands in front of her.”
A large soldier nodded, “Yes, Caesar.”
“Callisto, I should kill you for disobeying my orders…” Caesar remarked, turning to the Conqueror's second. “I might have need of your skills later…so, you're free to go.”
The guards released her and stepped back.
“If I do anything for you…” she retorted, “I want double the pay.”
“Very well,” he shrugged and punched her brutally in the gut. “That's for disobeying me.”
Callisto dropped to her knees at the unexpected blow.
Caesar leaned over and whispered into her ear, “If you betray me again…I will break every bone in your body, then crucify you. Do you understand me?”
She silently nodded her reply.
“Good,” he said and faced his awaiting captive, “Put her on my steed.”
Eponin stood silently next to the ruins, having already dispatched a search party. She waited patiently for the others to arrive and took the time to scan the scene once more.
Four riders rushed up to the scene and halted before her. Sierra, Xena, Ephiny and Marcus all dismounted and took in the scene of the abduction.
“How did this happen?” the Queen addressed her Captain.
“Give me the names of the guards from last night!” the Conqueror demanded.
“Delvus and Raia were assigned to your section,” Eponin informed and added, “Their part of the search party-”
“WHAT?” the Conqueror uttered and turned to the Captain, “You're letting the two people who let this happen search for her?”
“Yes,” she nodded, “They will be punished-”
“I don't believe this…” Xena muttered and ordered her head of security, “Take the men and thoroughly search this area. I want the persons responsible for Gabrielle's kidnapping brought before me.”
Marcus nodded, “Yes, my Liege.”
Sierra, disappointed at the thought of her Sisters lack of security finally spoke up, “Were there any tracks?”
“Yes, my Queen…” Eponin responded, “The rider was light…and may possess knowledge of our techniques,” she pointed and added, “One set of tracks led here.”
“How so?” Ephiny interrogated next.
“The person used the trees to enter the perimeter…above our sentries.”
The Conqueror brushed past the Captain, picked up the ripped shift and crouched before the four stakes that were embedded into the ground. She was tied down…then drenched with water. Xena grabbed a handful of dirt and brought it up to her nose, inhaling the faint scent of her lover. Her eyes grew dark, as the thought of someone touching her brought anger to her eyes. “An Amazon did this?”
“Lets not jump to conclusions here-” Ephiny advised.
“At least 10 more came from the west. They were weighed down…Roman soldiers,” the Captain informed, “The earlier track moved to the south and disappeared, while the rest moved to the west-”
“Roman territory,” Sierra and Xena uttered in unison.
Eponin silently nodded, “The tracks are at least 5 candle marks old.”
“Caesar…that bastard,” the Conqueror growled, throwing the dirt down.
The Queen ordered, “Eponin, take a squad from Elite guard and have them follow us.”
“Yes, my Queen…”
Sierra then turned to Xena, “Don't worry Xena, we'll find Gabrielle.”
“I'm holding YOU personally responsible if something happens to her!” the Conqueror decreed, instantly mounting Argo and rode off in search of her abducted lover.
The Queen silently shook her head, “Ephiny, go back to the nation and inform the Elders about this.” She leapt to her saddle and glanced down at her Regent, “War is rearing its ugly head my friend.”
“Take care,” Ephiny advised, “And be careful.”
“Of course,” the Queen flashed a reassuring grin and nudged her stallion on.
“YAH!!!”
The Conqueror threw the stocky Port master against wall and pulled him up to her eye level. “Where did Caesar go?” she roared and added, “Don't lie or I'll know.”
“PLEASSSSE, I don't know!” he muttered, glancing over his attacker's shoulder and at her awaiting companion. “Really…I don't.”
“LOOK AT ME!” she growled, as her eyes darkened and focused on the quivering man. “DO you know who I am?”
“N-no,” he stuttered, as he stared into the cold blue eyes and noticed the long black hair. The Port master's mind finally registered what his eyes projected and blurted out, “Y-you're the CONQUEROR!”
“You're a smart one,” Xena remarked, releasing her firm hold on the man's throat. She waited until he dropped to his knees, before she quickly pressed the two pressure points on his throat.
The Port master gasped out his last breath and his eyes widened at this turn of events. He once heard of the Conqueror's famous move from a fellow drunk at the local pub and never thought he would be the recipient of such a deadly honor.
“Your life is now forfeit,” she decreed and knelt down to one knee, “Tell me where they went and you shall leave this world on good terms.”
“Two boats…” he gasped out and continued on, “Don't know which he was on…one went south to Egypt and other west-”
“Rome,” Xena finished for him.
The gasping Port master nodded quickly as a thin line of blood flowed from his left nostril. Sweat beaded upon his brow as he realized that the darkness of death was slowly overwhelming all his senses.
The Conqueror rose up to her feet and brushed past the awaiting Amazon Queen. “Not a word,” she growled, exiting out of the master's heated quarters.
Sierra stood there for a moment, observing the man's last attempt for breath before falling over dead. She shook her head and followed the Conqueror onto the dock.
The Conqueror stood silently upon the dock, taking in the distant continent on the horizon as Caesar's. The gentle sea breeze blew her dark tresses into her cold blue eyes. The darkness within her swelled and her gut churned at the thought of her enemy touching her love. Eyes filled with pure hatred watered; yet not a single tear shed as she ran her fingers through her hair. “Gabrielle, my love be strong…” she whispered and proclaimed, “You'll soon be in my arms once again. I promise you that.”
“Xena, we must leave…” Sierra warned, “We're totally out numbered here.” She gestured to her guards to mount up and mounted her steed as well, “Lets go.”
“Fine…” she finally responded and instantly leapt onto Argo's back. Xena turned back to the Queen and avowed, “You and I have many things to discuss when we get back.”
“As you wish.”
Callisto halted her gray mare in front of the Royal stables, as a stable boy quickly approached her. “Give Banshee an extra apple tonight, boy.”
He took the reins and gave the mare a friendly nose rub, “Yes, Ma'am.”
A Royal guard halted before her and greeted, “Evening Ma'am.”
“What is it?” Callisto growled, dismounting.
“Ma'am, Marcus ordered me to report directly to you.”
“Well?” she sighed, patience wearing thin.
“Ma'am, our Liege's oracle has been kidnapped buy Caesar.”
“How horrid…” she voiced and made her way into the courtyard, “When did this happen?”
“Early this morning, Ma'am…” he responded, following two steps behind her. “Outside Ephesus.”
Callisto abruptly chuckled, “Right under the Amazons noses…huh?”
“Yes, Ma'am.”
“I knew THOSE women couldn't be trusted,” she muttered aloud for him to hear and gestured with her hand, “Dismissed.”
The guard bowed to her, “Very well, Ma'am.”
Callisto continued her journey into the bathing chamber with a sly smirk upon
her face. “Awww…revenge how sweet it is,” she purred and disappeared into the
confines of the castle.
Callisto laid her head back as she lounged in the large tub and feeling the day's stress left her sore body. “This will soon belong to me,” she purred to herself.
“Knock…knock…”
“Enter,” she called out, not opening her eyes.
A young servant girl entered into the room carrying a silver tray that held a large gold pitcher of wine and gold goblet. She sat the requested items next to her then, poured a glass for her before she made her hasty exit.
Callisto brought the goblet to her lips and drank half of it in one gulp. She
casually swirled the wine around as she stared into the dark red liquid. Her
mind traveled back in time to a day that had changed her life forever and
eventually brought her here.
“BURN THIS TOWN!” the Conqueror roared atop her golden stallion.
Her soldiers quickly dispersed from around her and tossed their burning torches into the straw buildings. People were screaming and rushing from the burning huts, only to be cut down by the awaiting solders.
“MOTHER NO!!!” a young Callisto screamed out, as the barn around her began crumble down around her. The blood curling screams of her family echoed in the night along with hundreds more that were perishing as well.
“Come with me if you want live!” a cloaked figured advised, pulling her to safety.
“NO!!!” she roared, pulling free from the stranger's grip. “I have to save my family-”
“It's too late, child!” the hood fell back, revealing a dark haired female with the gentlest eyes. “We must leave now!”
Callisto tears subsided as she fell into the dark eyes of the stranger. She froze as the flames around them reflected within the stranger's dark eyes.
“Come with me,” the woman ordered, wrapping her cloak around the terrified
girl and pulled her safely out of the burning building. “We're almost there,”
she assured as she led the girl into the nearby woods away from the bloody
massacre.
Two young Amazons were on their knees, frozen in place and trying to unsuccessfully to gasp out a much needed breathe. One dark haired and the other red, each stared up at their attacker with horror as blood slowly trickled from each of their noses. “XENA!” the Queen roared out, “If you let them die…so does our alliance.”
The Conqueror's eyes narrowed at the Queen's idle threat and retorted, “Over two incompetent warriors?”
“ALL life is sacred,” she affirmed, “Besides, we do have our own punishments you know.” Sierra's stony stare focused back at the fuming Conqueror as she slowly approached the glaring Conqueror. Her dark eyes made contact with the icy blues that seemed to burn through to her very soul. “I would hate to have our friendship end at the edge of my blade.”
After finally realizing the truth within the Queen's words, Xena reluctantly released the young Amazons. She silently observed the pair gasping for their first breaths of air then, spun around to face their Queen. “I want justice.”
“Very well…Conqueror,” Sierra nodded and acknowledged, “You shall have that.” She turned to address her fallen sisters and decreed, “Your status of being warriors for Artemis has been revoked until further notice. Now go…speak to Ephiny on your retraining.”
They lowered their heads and said in unison, “My Queen, as you wish.”
Xena growled, “Is that all?”
“WHAT?” the Queen voiced aloud and inquired, “Do YOU yearn for death?”
“That would be most appropriate.”
“Might I remind you that Gabrielle is alive and breathing,” she calmly responded back and added, “So, death would be too severe at this time.”
The Conqueror spoke up, “If the roles were reversed-”
“I would do the same,” Sierra revealed and continued, “Death is on the
horizon and we must focus on the forthcoming battle. Stop blaming each other on
who's at fault and work on trying to defeat Caesar and saving Gabrielle. We've
wasted far too much time as it is.”
“Ma'am, you really should really eat something…” the seaman whispered to the pale looking blond and held out a plate of food for her to take, “My life will surely end if I fail this simple task.”
“Alright…alright,” she softly spoke up, taking the offered food and brought a small portion of it to her lips. “Humm…this IS good.”
The scraggly man nodded his approval, “Only the best for Caesar and his guest.”
“Thank you…” she said and inquired about his name, “What's your name?”
“Romi, Ma'am.”
“Romi, thank you.”
Romi sat a black pair of breeches and a white shirt before her, “This is for you to wear, my dear…instead of that smelly blanket.”
“Thanks, Romi.”
“I've filled your bath as well,” he informed, gesturing over his shoulder at the large wooden tub. “Should use it before the water gets too cold.”
“Thank you,” she grinned and quickly polished off her meal. “It's so kind of you, Romi.”
“Think nothing of it, Ma'am.”
“My name is Gabrielle.”
“Very well, Gabrielle…” he acknowledged, “I'm only doing what I've been ordered to do Ma'am.”
“By who?”
“By our honorable Caesar of course.”
“Fredrick, I want all my spies on top of this,” the Conqueror informed her chief of staff.
“As you wish my Liege,” he nodded.
“Find Auto and give him whatever he wants,” she stated, “I want him to focus on finding her.”
“Of course, my Liege.”
“ALIVE, Fredrick…” the Conqueror glanced up from her maps and added, “I want her alive. Do I make myself clear?”
“But of course, my Liege.”
“Have you sent word to all my Generals?”
“Yes, my Liege.”
“Good,” she nodded, “You're dismissed.”
“Very good, my Liege…” he said, bowing and made a hasty exit.
Callisto brushed past the fleeting man and greeted, “I'm sorry for this tragic turn of events, my Liege.”
“Where have you been?”
“I've been overseeing the preparations to your fleet,” her second replied honestly and inquired, “Was there something else you wanted me to do instead?”
“Not yet,” she shook her head, “How's the fleet looking by the way?”
Callisto leaned against the Conqueror's desk, “Exceptional…but we are talking about your fleet. Anything below that would be an insult to you, my Liege.”
“Good.”
“So, the mighty Caesar is behind this whole thing?” her second inquired, glancing down at the maps before her.
“The mastermind behind it yes,” the Conqueror responded and added, “The perpetrator…NO. He's not THAT talented.”
“Do you have any suspects, my Liege?”
“No…” she shook her head, “Only that the person may be female and has knowledge of Amazon techniques.”
“This person is an Amazon?”
“Possibly,” the Conqueror nodded, stretching her sore muscles out. “I'm not ruling it out, though.”
“My Liege, if this person is at large…she's a threat to you as well.”
“I can handle myself,” she yawned, “Gabrielle is who I'm worried about.”
“Why worry about some dumb-”
The Conqueror instantly was on her feet and had her second pinned against the wall. She brutally shoved her forearm against Callisto's throat, effectively blocking the blond from taking a much needed breath. “You will NEVER degrade Gabrielle in ANY form in my presence again if YOU wish to live to another day!” she roared, narrowing her eyes to small slits. “Do I make myself clear?”
Callisto silently nodded her response as she read the fury with those cold eyes. Just like that night… She took her first gasp for air as the Conqueror's arm was quickly removed from her throat. She rubbed her sore throat and apologized, “My Liege, I have offended you…please forgive me for my error. Love is foreign to this cold heart of mine. I didn't know.”
“Make sure that it doesn't happen again Callisto,” the Conqueror retorted, “I would hate to have to terminate your talents over an ignorant comment.”
“Yes, my Liege.”
The Conqueror lifted the golden goblet to her lips and finished off her drink in one gulp and wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
“If this person is an Amazon, then we must sever our ties with the Amazons-”
“Could be,” the Conqueror corrected her second.
“If she is allying with them…then they are protecting her,” Callisto restated, “And we can't just wait around-”
“We can and will,” the Conqueror spoke up and revealed, “By no means have I
forgiven them for their lack of security. Besides, WE have an advantage to the
bastard Caesar and that's the Amazons.”
Caesar waited patiently for his dinner guest to arrive. He lifted his gold goblet to his parched lips and finished the sweet wine in one swallow. The table was set and the food was being laid out as he silently observed his slaves doing their various tasks. A wine girl quickly refilled his goblet and stepped back.
There was a soft knock on the wooden door, “Knock…knock.”
Romi opened the door and greeted the newcomer, “Good evening. This way please.”
“Evening Romi,” Gabrielle spoke up, as she passed him.
Caesar rose from his seat, “Gabrielle, welcome.” He gestured to the empty seat across from him, “Please, have a seat.”
“Thank you,” she thanked him and sat down. Gabrielle scanned their table. A feast set for a king had been spread out before her. A large turkey sat in the center, an assortment of side dishes were placed all around it. “This looks great.”
“Wait till you taste it,” Caesar said and nodded to Romi to cut the turkey. “I hope your quarters are satisfactory.”
“It is.” Gabrielle watched the wine girl filling her goblet before she inquired, “Why have you kidnapped me?”
“Now…now,” Caesar shook his head, “You know I can't tell you that. That would be my downfall, now wouldn't it?” He flashed her a small grin, “It's best to keep some secrets to yourself.”
Gabrielle nodded, “True.”
“I'm abhorred at the assault that took place on you earlier,” he decreed, “Callisto acted without my permission. I do detest that in a subordinate.”
Gabrielle pushed the horrid thought from her mind and lowered her head. “Thank you…for saving me. I don't know what I would've done-”
“Don't mention it,” he assured with a friendly grin. Caesar glanced down at his plate filled with food, “Now…let us enjoy this bountiful feast before us.”
“Why are you treating me like this?”
“I didn't know that there was a manual one must go by in kidnapping,” he
remarked, lifting his goblet to her. “Drink up.”
Xena sat upon Argo and silently observed her men loading her personal ship for the long trip ahead.
“Excuse me, my Liege…” Marcus spoke up, “The Amazons are approaching.”
“Good.”
“This just arrived my Liege,” he said, holding out a sealed scroll.
The Conqueror broke the seal and unrolled the message, “Thank you.”
My Liege,
Caesar is heading to Egypt. Will send word on where exactly he's heading to when he arrives.
Your loyal servant,
Auto
“Caesar is heading to
Egypt,” Sierra spoke up, as she dismounted her steed. Behind her sat Eponin and
squad of her Elite guard. They too quickly dismounted and waited for the
Conqueror's permission to board.
“Very well,” the Conqueror said and shouted, “Set sail for Egypt.”
“The moon radiates your beauty, my dear,” Caesar whispered as he gently caressed Gabrielle's cheek.
“Thank you…” she responded and moved away from his touch. “It's very kind of you-” she was interrupted by a sudden kiss from Caesar. Gabrielle was then roughly pulled into the arms of her captor. “Please…” she gasped as their kiss ended, “Don't do this.”
Caesar whispered into her ear, “Gabrielle, your eyes tell a different tale.”
She pushed away from him and shook her head, “You must be blind then-”
He pulled his captive roughly into his body, “That hint of lust is sparkling in those precious eyes of yours. You can't hide it my dear.” Caesar gently caressed her cheek with the back of his hand, “You want this.”
“No…” Gabrielle lowered her gaze, “I don't.”
Caesar forcibly lifted her chin up, “NO ONE says no to me.” He gestured towards his personal guards and two large men stood at attention beside him. “Take her to my cabin,” he ordered, with a mischievous grin. “Stay with her till I get there.”
“YES, EMPEROR!” the guards responded.
“YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THIS!!!” Gabrielle shouted out, as she was being led away. “PLEASE! NOOOOO!!!”
Romi held out a silver tray with a full goblet of wine upon it, “Emperor, we will arrive in Cove by sunrise.”
“Very good,” Caesar nodded and took the wine. He finished it in two gulps and
wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “Now onto dessert.”
The guards shove their captive onto the lush bed covered with large leopard skins.
Gabrielle tried to get up when one of the guards growled, “Stay!”
“Fine,” Gabrielle grumbled back.
“Remove your clothes,” the other guard demanded.
“I'm not going to do-”
The guard pulled out a dagger and held it out, “DO IT or I'LL do it for YOU!”
“FINE!” Gabrielle quickly removed her clothes and modestly tried to cover her private parts.
The guards lustfully stared at the young girl.
“Leave us,” Caesar ordered from a shadowy area of his room.
Gabrielle turned to his voice and pleaded, “Please…Caesar don't do this.”
Caesar stepped out from the darkness. He tossed his armor to the ground and slowly approached his captive. His eyes were dark and filled with an animalistic hunger. An evil grin spread across his face. “I can, young creature,” he informed, “And I will. It's up to you if you want it rough or not.”
“Please…” she begged and took a step back, “Please, don't do this. I beg of you.”
Suddenly, the Emperor charged forward and tackled her to the bed. He forcibly grabbed her wrists and brought them above her head. With a quick kick, caused her to spread for him. “So be it then,” he chuckled, as he removed his hardening member.
“GODS…PLEASE NO!” Gabrielle cried out, as tears swelled up. “NO…I BEG OF YOU!” She tried to struggle, but it was too late. His body weighed heavy against hers and there wasn't a thing she could do about it. XENA!!!! OH GODS NO!!!! XENA WHERE ARE YOU? Tears streamed down her flushed cheeks as she prepared for what was to take place next.
With a quick backhanded to the face and taunted, “No one's going to save you.”
“Please…” she whimpered out, as she unintentionally bit into her lower lip, “NO!”
Caesar guided his 8” enlarged member towards her nether lips and violently
entered into her. With a quick thrust he fully impaled her, as his free hand
squeezed her breast. Her tightness aroused him, causing him to pick up the
rhythm of his thrusts. “For the good of ROME!” he growled between breaths.
“NOOOO!!!!!” Sierra shouted out, as she abruptly woke up from the horrid scene.
Eponin rushed in with two Elite behind. Her sword was drawn and ready for any confrontation. “MY QUEEN!”
The Queen waved them to sheath their swords, “It's okay…I had another vision.”
Eponin did as she was instructed, as did others. “Have Xena meet me on the deck. I have to tell her…”
Her Captain inquired, “Tell her what, my Queen?”
“It's about Gabrielle.”
“Of course,” Eponin gestured to pair of Elite guards, “Go.”
“Yes, Captain…” they said, then turned and rushed off.
“Caesar is raping her as we speak,” the Queen revealed, climbing out of her bed. She quickly donned her clothes on and turned to face her Captain.
“Hera's tits…”
Gabrielle focused on the ceiling above as the thrusts from her rapist grew faster and harder. Her tears continued to stream down her face as she tried to ignore his voice and all the nasty obscenities that he spat out. She felt his body tense up as he shot his seed into her. The Oracle felt his body relax on top of her for brief moment. As two breaths passed, the weight of him lifted and she was finally rid of his body. She abruptly turned to her side and rolled up into a ball.
The Emperor straightened his clothes and inquired, “Was it that bad?”
Gabrielle's sobbing had returned and new tears filled her redden eyes. Suddenly, with renewed hope for vengeance, she leapt off the bed and clawed at his face. Her nails had barely missing his right eye, thus ended up leaving three small gashes into his cheek instead.
“GUARDS!!” Caesar called out, as he wrestled her to the ground. He won the upper hand and taunted, “Now there's the feisty gal I heard about. I was SO hoping to experience it earlier, but one can't be too greedy now can we?”
The pair quickly entered.
“Take her away,” he ordered and gently touched his throbbing cheek.
One guard responded, “Yes, Emperor.”
“PICK UP YOUR CLOTHES!” the other guard shouted.
Gabrielle slowly climbed off the bed and grabbed her pile of clothes. The guards abruptly seized her, as Caesar approached her from the rear. She felt his breath upon her neck.
“YOUR mighty Conqueror succumbed to my charms as well,” the Emperor whispered into her ear.
The guards quickly dragged her out of the cabin as Romi entered.
“My Emperor…you're bleeding,” he uttered, pulling out a clean cloth.
“It's only a flesh wound,” Caesar remarked and gestured towards his bedding, “I want you to clean this up.” He silently stared at the glistening blood upon his fingertips. “I'll be above deck.”
The guards shoved their naked captive into her cabin and slammed the door shut. Gabrielle grumbled something inaudible as she slid across the floor and into a large barrel. She slowly climbed to her feet and was forcibly shoved over the barrel. Her unseen attacker grabbed a fistful of hair and lifted her head. Her instincts kicked in and she began to struggle. Without warning, a sharp knife was then pressed up against her throat.
“Make a noise and I'll slit your throat,” the attacker growled, “Put your hands behind your back NOW.”
Gabrielle recognized the voice as one of the guards that brought her there.
She silently nodded her head, placed her hands behind her and prayed that this
horrible nightmare would end. A piece of cloth was then forced into her mouth.
She tried desperately to focus on an image of Xena, for strength.
XENA…please. She instinctively bit down onto the cloth, as her attacker
brutally penetrated her tight anus. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she closed
her eyes and wished the pain away.
Sierra was violently shoved against the main mass pole and held there for a moment. “NO!” she growled to her Captain to stay put. “Let her!” she spat between breaths.
The Conqueror roared tightening her grip on her captive's neck, “YOU KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!”
“Yes,” the Queen nodded, “I'm sorry.”
Xena's eyes darkened as glared into her eyes, “What's stopping me from killing you right here…right now?”
Sierra glanced over at her loyal Captain, “I promise you this…you'll NEVER see sunrise.”
Eponin's sword was drawn and pointed directly at the Conqueror's throat.
Xena growled, “This is all YOUR fault!”
“Fine…” she gasped out.
The Conqueror released her hold and observed as the Amazon Queen drop to her hands and knees. She then swiftly kicked her in the abdomen.
The force of the blow lifted her off the ground and caused her to flip onto her back. Sierra lay on the deck, gasping for breath. “I would change places with her if I could,” she wished aloud and slowly climbed to her feet. “I wouldn't wish that kind of abuse to my worse enemies.”
A bright light flashed and Discord suddenly appeared next to the fallen
Queen, “So be it.”
Gabrielle abruptly sat up and shouted, “WAIT!!!” Pain shot through her entire
body. Her privates were aching and the rank smell of semen filled the stale air.
Realizing that her meddling cousin transferred her soul into the Oracle's body.
“That BITCH!!!!” she growled, “Remind me to give her a nice ass whopping for
this. First off…lets wash this nastiness off me.” She glanced around her new
surroundings, grabbed the cloth swatch and spotted a water bucket from across
the room. She made her way over to the bucket and brought it over to where she
awoke. She carefully began to wash the filth from her battered body.
The Amazon Queen dropped to her hands and knees. “NO…DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!” She abruptly fell over and rolled up into a ball. “Please…stop…it hurts…noooo. I'm begging you…please.” Her abdomen was now sore as she gasped out for a much-needed breath of air.
“My Queen,” Eponin called out as she rushed to her friend's aid. “Are you okay?”
Sierra turned to the familiar voice, “Eponin? What are you doing here?”
“I'm helping you up my friend,” she responded, wrapping arm around her Queen's waist. “I'm sorry…but I won't stand here and watch her abuse you like that.”
“Who?” Sierra inquired as she slowly climbed to her feet.
“Xena,” she replied, “Who else?”
“Xena's here?”
“She just left…” Eponin informed and eyed her, “Don't you remember?”
Sierra shook her head.
“She grabbed you by the throat right after you told her about the visions,” the Captain enlightened, “Are you sure you didn't hit your head?”
“I don't remember…” Sierra shrugged, “Eponin, I don't know how to tell you this…”
“Shhh…”
“I'm not Sierra.”
“We need to get you back to your room.”
“Eponin, I'm Gabrielle…” Sierra halted and turned to her friend, “You have to believe me. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.”
Eponin stared into her Queen's eyes and they confirmed her words. “But how?”
“I don't know,” she shook her head and ran her fingers through her short hair. “One minute I'm laying in pain on Caesar's ship and the next I'm here. I'm in Sierra's body and I can't explain it.”
“Well, lets take you back to your cabin.”
“I need to tell Xena about this-”
“NO…not yet,” Eponin interrupted, “Let her cool off a bit. I want to check you over first and make sure she didn't hurt anything important.”
“But we need to tell her.”
“Listen, she's in a pissed off mood and could very well try to hurt you. She hates us right now and I doubt that she would give you the time of day. Let her calm down…come dawn, we'll tell her what's up.”
Sierra nodded, “Alright.”
“Rise and shine wench!” a guard called out.
Gabrielle's gut churned at the sound of his voice and her body trembled at his presence. Did he rape you as well? Her mind shouted out and a memory flash of his body on top of her. The guard grunted like a savage at every brutal thrust into her. Gods… She shook of the horrid image and focused on now, refusing the emotional pain that her new body is sending her mind. “Focus…focus,” she muttered under her breath as the guards approached her.
“Did you sleep well?” the guard taunted, “I sure did…maybe this time I'll bring a few friends.”
“Good…maybe they'll teach you a few pointers,” she retorted under her breath, “Your performance was down right pitiful.”
“Stupid bitch!” he grunted and backhanded her.
Gabrielle instantly reached out for his hand. Grabbed his wrist, twisted it behind his back and kicked him away. Which sent him sprawling face first into the ground. “Don't ever touch me again,” she growled and raised her hands up to the other guard.
He started chuckling at him as he grabbed her arm and led the prisoner out of the room. “Come on Creg,” he called out, “You know how the Emperor gets when someone takes too long.”
“Talas, I'm coming…” Creg grabbed his helmet and followed them out, “She'll get hers.”
They led Gabrielle above deck and brought her to their awaiting Emperor. Caesar stood erect in his polished armor and observed the port drawing nearer. He ignored their presence for a moment and finally spoke up, “About time.”
“Forgive our tardiness, Emperor.”
“Very well…” the Emperor said, “Well, Oracle…how was your night?”
“Could have been better,” she drearily responded, as her body once again was repulsed by the presence of the original rapist. She noticed the claw marks on his pristine cheek and smirked at her predecessor's handiwork. Go girrrl!
Caesar realized that she had been staring at his minor scratch and remarked, “I intend on repaying you for this delightful reminder of our night together.” He turned and gestured to another guard. “I want to give you something PERSONAL from me,” he taunted with a mischievous smirk.
The guards shoved Gabrielle to her knees and ripped her shirt off. They held her down as the third guard, carrying a glowing ring with a pair of blacksmith tongs, approached. He pressed the ring into her shoulder blade and held it there for few moments. She held her tongue as it sizzled and burned into her flesh. It effectively branded her soft flesh with its image. Gabrielle focused on the eyes of her tormentor and envisioned his bloody demise. She successfully overcame the unbearable pain, the smell of her burning flesh and plastered a smirk of confidence towards him.
“Xena's precious concubine will have MY mark upon her,” he chuckled and continued on, “Whenever she's mounting you…she'll forever be reminded of ME.”
Gabrielle silently glared at him.
Another soldier came up from behind and placed a metal slave collar around
her neck and locked it. He gave the attached chain to Talas and handed the torn
shirt back to the captive. “Put it on.”
“Now you're telling me that somehow your souls were switched,” the Conqueror repeated with a laugh, “Gabrielle's soul is inside you and vice versa.”
“Yes, that's what I'm saying.”
“Prove it.”
Gabrielle told of an intimate moment that happened the night before her
abduction. The scene replayed as she recited it word for word.
“Listen to me Rielle,” Xena spoke up, as she ran her fingers
through her lover's short hair. “YOU…” she purred, “My lovely Oracle/Bard have
lightened up my otherwise dark life. YOUR light subdued the dark entity that
held me a prisoner.” She kissed her forehead again, “And for THAT I'm eternally
grateful. So when I say that you deserve all the credit…then by all HERA, you
do.”
Gabrielle tightened her embrace and whispered, “Xe, thank you letting me into your life.”
“The pleasure is all yours,” she retorted, smirking. “You stayed, as I recalled.”
“You know what I mean,” she growled playfully.
“That
doesn't prove anything,” Xena remarked, “Anyone could have overheard our
conversation.”
“Fine,” Sierra sighed and told her of another scene that they had shared.
“Remember the day we first met.”
After disbanding a group of
rebels outside of Poteidaia, a younger Gabrielle stood frightened at the sight
of hundreds of Corinthian cavaliers invading her homelands. Her eyes darted from
one rider to another until they made contact with ones of icy blue. She prayed
that they would ignore her presence and continued to do her chores.
Two riders skidded to a stop and quickly dismounted, as a third rode up and halted before me. A commanding voice spoke up, “What's your name girl?”
“What's it to you?” Gabrielle retorted back and continued to hoe the ground. “Can't you see that I'm working here?”
Each soldier grabbed Gabrielle by the upper arms and one roared, “Show the Conqueror respect!”
She stuttered, “T-t-the Conqueror?”
A female warrior dressed in all black, casually leapt off her tan warhorse. A devilish smirk was plastered upon her sculpted features. The tanned beauty towered over the young farm girl. The dark one's shoulder length hair, matched the flowing cape she wore. Her armor was polished to perfection and fit her muscular body like a glove. The intricate design upon her chest plate matched the very symbol that just happened to be embroidered on all the flags in Corinth. Which happens to be a unique symbol of a chakram with the letter X overlaid upon it.
The Conqueror glared at the insolent blond and instantly backhanded her. “Lesson one. NEVER disrespect me.” She quickly assessed the creature and noticed her toned body was a bit lean. She lifted the girl's head and turned it from side to side. Nice…attractive. Xena's eyes locked on pair emeralds and her soul was utterly overwhelmed. “Lesson two. When I ask a question…ANSWER it.”
“I'm so sorry,” Gabrielle apologized and lowered her gaze, “My name is Gabrielle.”
Xena casually walked around the petite blond, “The Oracle Gabrielle?”
“Yes.”
“Tell me Oracle…what do you see in my future?”
“There will be three reigning powers in all. Strong and powerful they will be. Thus a stalemate will arise. You my Liege will be one of three.”
Xena scoffed at the thought.
“One will have a destiny to fulfill and the other will be sibling of a Goddess.”
Xena raised a brow at the descriptions and realized whom they were of. That bastard Julius Caesar and Queen bitch Sierra. A sly smirk formed as carnal thoughts overwhelmed her minds eye. She leaned over and whispered, “I can smell your innocence…SO pure…virginal. Tell me…are you?”
Gabrielle nodded her reply.
“Tasty…”
The Conqueror roared, “ENOUGH!!!” and leapt from
her chair. She approached the Queen and assessed the dark eyes that stared back.
Somewhere within them a familiar spirit stared back and a grin finally formed
upon her stony features. “Gabrielle?”
“Xena…” Sierra reached out and embraced her lover, “I'm SO sorry for causing-”
“Shhhh…” Xena hushed her and held her tight, “It's not your fault.”
“I missed you so much,” she uttered, as tears formed. “I kept praying that you'd come.”
“Rielle,” Xena whispered back, “We'll get through this…and I promise with all my heart that I will find a way to get you back into your own body.” She gently kissed her lover's forehead as a tear rolled down her cheek.
“Thank you, Xe.”
Xena remembered what Sierra had told her earlier, “Did Caesar…rape you?”
Sierra remained silent and just nodded her head.
“That BASTARD'S going to DIE at the end of my blade!”
“Xena…”
“Rielle…was there anyone else?”
“Callisto was the one who kidnapped me from Ephesus.”
The Conqueror raised a brow and repeated, “Callisto?”
“Yes…” Sierra nodded and continued, “She tried to rape me.”
“That BITCH shall pay for her treachery.”
Caesar sat upon his steed and turned to greet his second, “Brutus, how goes our little invasion?”
“Emperor, our forces have cut the cities supplies thus far. We've had a few skirmishes with the local Generals. We decimated two and scattered two others. It's only a matter of time before we descend on Corinth.”
“Their heads?”
“Of course, Caesar.” Brutus waved for a soldier carrying two burlap pouches to approach, “Go on.”
The soldier did as he was told and held up the two severed heads. One had short dark haired and the other slightly long gray hair tied in a ponytail. Both had a deathly grimace upon each of their faces.
“Awww…Homer and Blake,” Caesar recognized the pair, “What about the Amazons?”
“Callisto's armies are battling them as we speak,” the second informed, “She's effectively won the majority of the Conqueror's Generals over and effectively splitting the Conqueror's forces in two. She's declared war on the Amazons. In her wake, she has destroyed two villages and is now steadily approaching Ephesus.”
“Good…” Caesar nodded and suggested, “Lets pay the citizens of Corinth a little visit.”
“As you wish.”
The thick forest surrounding the city was cluttered with bodies of the fallen. Pits of spikes were dug everywhere and they held the unlucky few that didn't watch their steps. Thick spikes were scattered throughout the wooded area, rendering the use of cavaliers useless. The warning was not taken and the carcasses of horses sat with jagged chunks of wood impaled within them. Two battalions on each side have already fallen. Another stalemate for the time being is taking place and both sides are planning their next move.
Huddled around the regent Ephiny were her fellow tribe leaders, ten in total.
Each seemed ready for the upcoming battle. “I've sent Tara, Loki and Samone's
tribes along with some Elite guard to the rear of the Callisto's armies. On my
signal, two tribes will attack with their archers only. While they deal with
them, our sisters will lay low until the first assault takes place. I want four
tribes in a wedge formation when they attack the bulk of her forces. Our goal is
to wipe her forces out and send them to Tartarus to burn for all eternity. Now
lets get busy and make Artemis proud.”
“I want to see this city in runes by nightfall,” Callisto decreed atop her gray stallion. She turned to her mounted Generals, “I don't care how you do it…I want it DONE.”
“This is pointless-” the Generals words were cut short by a quick swipe from Callisto's sword. His decapitated head bounced twice and rolled away.
Callisto narrowed her eyes and inquired, “Any other objections?”
Sierra shook her head, “That's all I know.”
“It's not like Caesar…Brutus is like his right hand,” Xena muttered aloud, “Can't have one without the other. Something's up.”
Eponin spoke up, “Maybe its a lover's quarrel.”
Xena raised a brow at that little comment.
“Xe, I'm a bit tired…” Sierra informed, rubbing her tired eyes.
Xena gave her love a comforting hug and gentle kiss on the forehead, “Alright…I'll be there in few.”
Sierra nodded and head off to their cabin. She entered into the spacious room
and fell into the large bed. After a moment of complete silence, scenes of her
rape flashed before her eyes. “NO!” she shouted, as the memories faded to black.
She moved to her side and rolled up into a ball. Please…no more… She
finally closed her eyes and fell into the realm of Morpheus'.
Creg poured some water from his open canteen onto the ground. The water created a small puddle before me. He abruptly kicked me off my horse and growled, “Lap it up like a BITCH should.”
I landed hard on my shoulder, dislocating it. “SONOFABITCH!!!” I growled as
my collar was yanked hard, “BASTARD!!” All I wanted was some damn water.
I grabbed the chain, pulled him off balance and sent him face first into the
dirt. My shoulder was killing me as I climbed to my feet. As Creg did the same,
I charged at him. I rammed my shoulder into his, effectively correcting my minor
injury and causing a bit of harm to him. Oh well… Suddenly, I was tackled
from behind and thrown down. Two swift kicks to my side, one to my head and I
was out like a light.
The tent flap opened and two sets of feet entered.
I grabbed a handful of dirt and waited for my chance. The blur of Creg knelt down next to me and rechecked my collar. The other unhooked the chain from the main post. I reached up and grabbed his jugular and squeezed, causing him to gasp out for breath. The second guy rushed forward to stop me. I threw the dirt into his eyes, effectively blinding him for only a moment. With a quick palm thrust to Creg's nose, shattering it and sending the splinters into his brain. He fell back dead. As I climbed to my feet the second soldier rushed me and knocked me back down. I rolled with his body and I ended up straddling him. He tightened his hold on my throat as I grabbed for his. In the struggle I poked his left eye out.
The soldier cried out in pain and released his hold. Blood mixed with a whitish liquid poured from his eye socket.
“Damnit…” I grumbled and got to my feet before he did. I grabbed Creg's discarded helmet and struck my attacker upside the head, knocking him out. The tent flap opened again as I reached down and grabbed a dagger from the body of the soldier. I threw it at the unsuspecting solder and it ended up being embedded in the man's throat. He fell back and began making gurgling noises as he succumbed to his mortal wound. I pulled him into the tent and removed the dagger from his throat. I recognized him, “Talas.” I then turned to the fallen soldiers as a plan quickly came together. Lets get you to safety.
I was dressed in a Roman uniform as I stepped out from the tent. There were torches outside the numerous tents. No one was alarmed. Thank you… The evening breeze blew the torches flames and brought with it the smell of roasting beef. My stomach abruptly began to growl and I effectively calmed it down. I quickly made my way into the thick brush nearby. I picked up my pace and tried to distance myself from my captors. From the distance I heard the sound of Roman horns. “Damn,” I grumbled, “They found them.” At that very moment my shoulder began to ache, reminding me that I did hurt it earlier. “Come on,” I muttered, charging through the forest and prayed for good fortune to shine upon me. I quickly leapt over a fallen log and soon realized that there was now a rapidly moving stream beneath me. The distance between the stream and myself was now growing closer and closer.
The water was freezing as the current carried me further downriver. I heard the sound of waterfall in the distance and decided to get out before it was too late. I noticed a large root sticking out from a nearby tree drawing near. I quickly reached out and took hold of it. With all my remaining strength I pulled myself out and crawled ashore. I was gasping for air, as I collapsed from my body's exhaustion.
A bright light appeared and my cousin Discord was lounging on a nearby rock. “So, how does it feel?” she taunted with a mischievous grin.
“Like Tartarus…” I garbled out between breaths.
“Oh…really?”
“That's where I'm going to send you when I get my hands on you.”
“Temper…temper, cousin…” she wiggled her finger at me, “Didn't Auntie teach you any manners?”
“Leave my MOTHER out of this.”
“Touchy are we?”
“At least mine didn't spread her legs for any Centaur, Triton or Harpy.”
“YOU BITCH!!!” she screamed and abruptly disappeared.
Discord reappeared. She was now straddling over me and trying to strangle me. My grip on her neck tightened and we began to roll around on the ground.
“Take that back you WHORE!”
“Can't take back the truth,” I retorted and was now on top, straddling her. “Give it up…YOU'RE jealous of me.”
“NEVER!” she cried out and once again disappeared.
“STOP PLAYING AROUND AND JUST FIGHT ME!”
“Can't…” Discord whispered into my ear, “I'm having WAY more fun watching you suffer.” Her crackling laughter echoed all around me.
“For the love of GODS!!!” I grumbled and heard the roar of a battle coming from over the ridge before me. “Great…” I grumbled and shook my head. After slowly climbing to my feet, I made my way up the ridge. “Mother,” I whispered, “If you're watching from above…PLEASE help. I'd rather risk my life with Discord than an innocent.” As I made it to the top, a body flew in front of my feet.
A spear had impaled an unlucky Roman soldier. The poor man was gasping out his last breath and mumbling incoherently.
“Sorry…” I said, removing his helmet and placed it upon my head. “But I don't think you'll need this anymore.”
There was large mass of people fighting in the clearing. Bodies were scattered everywhere. Roman, Corinthian and Amazon alike. “Damn,” I shook my head at my fallen sisters and heard a faint whimper.
“Help me…please…”
I turned to where I heard the voice and came upon a young Amazon, not more than 14 winters old. “What happened?” I asked as I knelt down next to her. I assessed her mortal wounds and tried to comfort her, “It's going to be okay.”
The teen turned to me and her eyes were filled with fear. She gasped out, “Roman.”
“No…no,” I shook my head and tried to clarify it for her, “I'm just barrowing it. I'm not going to hurt you...I promise.” I carefully lifted her up and cradled her against my body, “What's your name?”
“Faith…”
“That's beautiful name,” I complemented, “I'm Sierra.”
Her eyes grew wide, “Don't…look-”
“I know…” I chuckled, “I'm just using this body for now.” I notice the light in her eyes fading and whispered, “Little one, seek Cyane. She will guide you to your fellow sisters.” I heard Faith wheeze her last breathe and she finally goes silent. I brush her blondish bangs from her face, “You're at peace now little one.”
“You DIE now ROMAN SCUM!!!” a young girl growled from behind me.
I recognized the voice as Lexi, Eponin's niece. I grabbed Faith's discarded staff and quickly blocked the girl's attack. “Don't do this!” I spoke up in between blocks and thrusts.
“SHUT UP AND DIE!!!” she spat out and parried with her sword.
I blocked it and countered with a reverse, swiping her feet out from her. The
young warrior's sword flew out of her hand. I reached out and caught it. I then
pointed it to my fallen sister, “Lexi, STOP!” My head began to throb and all my
thoughts grew fuzzy. I felt my soul being pulled out of the body that I had been
using. “NOOOO!!!” I cried out, trying to get back in but it was to no avail.
“Huh?” Sierra grumbled and slowly opened her eyes. “Xe…what's wrong?”
“Nothing…” she flashed her a reassuring grin and held Sierra's hand, “I've just been thinking.”
The Queen worriedly sat up, “About what?”
“Us.”
“Go on…” Sierra nudged, trying to keep her scattered thoughts focused. “I'm listening.”
“It's been a living nightmare ever since you were taken from my side,” Xena confessed, “I can't eat…sleep.”
“Hon, you need eat in order to keep up your strength.”
Xena chuckled at the motherly instincts coming from her lover, “I will.”
Sierra didn't believe her and glared at her, “Promise me.”
“I promise that I'll eat more.”
“Good.”
Xena's demeanor grew serious, “At times I feel myself boarding on my dark side. A war is waging within my very soul Rielle. I don't want to lose you.”
“You won't,” Sierra retorted and poked her love in the chest, “I'll be in there as long as you desire it.” She felt her soul being gently pulled from her body and a fear overwhelmed her. She suddenly became aware of what was taking place and quickly reached out to embrace her love once more. “Xe…I will always be with you,” she expressed, as she was pulled free of her body.
It seems that my Mother heard my plea… I fell into my body just as another had left it. Gabrielle… It felt SO good to be finally home. Someone was hugging my body and I them. I recognized the familiar scent as the Conqueror's.
“Rielle and I with you,” Xena whispered and confessed, “From the moment our eyes first met...you owned my heart and soul. Please, forgive me. I love you with all my heart, Rielle.”
The intimate confession she just revealed had been meant for Gabrielle. DAMN…great timing. I could always fake it and pretend to be her…but that would be mean. I released her and revealed, “Xena, I'm so sorry…but Gabrielle just left.”
“What?” she uttered and quickly rose to her feet, “Did she hear-”
“I don't know…” I shook my head, “It's possible.”
Xena turned and left the room.
I shook my head and whispered, “I'm so sorry…”
Gabrielle's soul reentered her body just as Lexi kicked the sword from her hand. With another swift kick, brought the Oracle to her knees. She gasped out for breath, "NOOO!!"
"SPY!!!" Lexi roared, pulling out a dagger and rushed her.
Gabrielle realized that she had a staff and needed to defend herself. She struck the Amazon's knee, shattering it and quickly reversed it and whopped her in the back of the head.
Lexi dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Gabrielle observed her fallen attacker and cautiously approached the body. She rolled the girl over and noticed that the dagger was now impaled into her chest. She's just a child… She dropped to her knees and cried out, "WHY????" The Amazons were now retreating into the forest just as a wave of Corinthian soldiers charged forward. Their battle cries drowned out the cries of help from the wounded and dying.
The Oracle turned to leave and was face to face with a battle worn Callisto. "Callisto?" she gasped, as two soldiers grabbed her.
"Well…well…well," Callisto purred, "Lookie at what we found boys…the Conqueror's play toy."
"Callisto, just let me go and I won't say a word-"
"Sure…and I'm the Queen of Egypt."
"Please…just let me go!"
"Sorry," Callisto shook her head, "But you're now my little ACE." She turned to her soldiers, "Take her back to the camp."
"Yes, Commander."
Callisto remembered something, "Oh…make her comfortable."
"As you wish, Commander."
"NOOOO!!!" Gabrielle called out as she was being dragged away, "PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!!!!"
Callisto turned to her men and roared, "KILL THEM ALL!!!"
The Conqueror was leaning against the railing of the ship and silently stared out into the vast ocean. Why…did I wait SO long? She wanted to scream, yell or beat something or someone…not in any particular order. Another set of eyes was upon her, watching. "What do you want?"
"Well, hello to you too," the Queen stepped out from the shadows, "Number one. Inform your Captain to turn this ship around."
"Why?"
"Well, he won't listen to me…so I came to you."
"You know where he's at," Xena remarked, glaring at her.
"Near Corinth…" Sierra informed, as she leaned against the railing. "He's going to invade it."
"I figured as much," Xena sighed, "We're on our way back now."
"You know?" she inquired, raising a brow. "How?"
"A hunch."
"Oh…" she shook her head, "about Gabrielle…Discord brought that about."
The Conqueror probed, "Did you get her out?"
"I broke her free," she nodded, "Killed a few guys that hurt her—you're welcome. I somehow stumbled onto a battle with Corinthians, Romans and my sisters."
Xena's eyes narrowed, "That bitch Callisto."
"I was fighting a sister of mine…" Sierra revealed, "I had just disarmed her…when I left."
"She's a strong one," Xena enlightened and turned to the Queen, "Tell me the truth."
"You really want to know?"
"Yes."
"Her body has seen better days," Sierra remarked and continued, "I took a small beating…dislocated shoulder…a concussion…" she lowered her voice, "and a branding. I'm sorry…but Caesar marked her."
Xena's eyes turned dark, "Where?"
"Her shoulder blade."
The Conqueror remained silent.
"Gabrielle left a nice scratch on Caesar's cheek though…deep enough."
Xena raised a brow, "She did huh?"
"Yep."
Gabrielle was shoved face first into the tent and sent sprawling. Her body
had been raked with pain and exhaustion. Both of her shoulders ached and her
head throbbed. Mind over matter…that's it. "Xena…" she whispered and
rolled over, "I love you." She closed her eyes and was out like a light.
The Oracle awoke to find a tray of food sitting on a stool and bucket of water next to it. Her stomach growled out for its need of food. "Take it easy…" she muttered, crawling over to the food and quickly gobbled it down. I feel like I haven't eaten anything in days…
Artemis spoke up, "You've been through a lot young one."
Gabrielle spun around in mid chew and mumbled a hello. Her eyes widened at the sight of the beautiful Goddess.
"Relax," she gestured, taking a step towards the flustered mortal. "It's okay."
Gabrielle swallowed her mouthful and gasped, "Forgive me Goddess." She lowered her head and pleaded, "I didn't mean any disrespect."
"Don't worry about it," she said, "Go on and eat. You'll need the nourishment for what lies ahead."
The Oracle nodded, "I figured as much."
"Sierra asked me to pay you a little visit," Artemis revealed and took a seat next to the mortal. "I cannot take you away from this," she informed, looking around. "I can heal your body, but the memories must stay."
Gabrielle lowered her gaze.
The Goddess assessed the mortal and continued, "Your spirit is strong my child. You know this…whatever doesn't kills you, makes you stronger in the end."
"I know," she nodded, "What will happen to Xena?"
Artemis smiled and placed a gentle hand upon her knee, "She shall take the required steps when the time comes."
Gabrielle felt a warm energy overwhelm her entire being. It wrapped itself two-fold around her body. Her wounds began to heal and all the unnerving aches finally dissipated. "Thank you," she said, flashing her a grin.
"You're welcome," the Goddess responded with a grin of her own and slowly faded away.
The tent flap opened and three armed soldiers enter. Two grabbed her by the upper arms and brutally shoved her to the ground. The third bound her hands behind her back and blindfolded her.
"How dare-" Gabrielle had been rudely interrupted by a rag being shoved into
her mouth and tied firmly around her head. She grunted out her protests, but
they fell on deaf ears. They aggressively picked her up and dragged her out of
the tent.
Callisto silently observed her guards as they proceed to crucify the Oracle. They tied down her wrists and placed a piece of wood over it. This process was repeated to her other wrist and her feet. Three hammers were raised simultaneously into the air and began their decent down.
"STOP!!!" Callisto yelled out and effectively halting them.
The guards turned to their General and waited for further instruction. One finally spoke up, "General?"
She took a step towards them, "Leave her as is."
"Yes, General."
"Slap her around boys before you plant her. Bloody her up a bit," she gestured and sauntered off, "I want Xena to be greeted by her precious Gabrielle as she enters."
"Yes, General."
Caesar halted his legion just outside the city
limits. He took in the battle-ravaged area and grinned at the division of the
Conqueror's forces. Her demise will seal the fates of the Amazons and bring
forth my new-world domination. He thought of his plan that lay before him
and arrogantly smirked. There were five legions in total that was presently
moving in position around the city. Each was only candle marks away and all
waited for a signal from their Emperor. Now…to deal with Callisto.
A scout rode up to Caesar and pulled his horse to an abrupt halt. "My Emperor, only half of Callisto's forces remain in the city."
"I realize that," Caesar acknowledged, "The rest should be meeting up with our fellow Romans. Keep an eye out for the loyal armies of the Conqueror's. I don't like surprises, Corporal."
"Yes, my Emperor."
Amazons were stealthily following Caesar's legions as they drew upon Corinth. Leading them was the battle-worn Regent Ephiny. She guided them as close as possible to their enemies without giving them away.
Solari approached the Regent with her findings from the recent scouting mission, "Ephiny, Caesar has arrived with his legion. He's to the south of the city."
"Good," Ephiny nodded assessing Sierra's plan once more. My love somehow came to me in a dream and enlightened me further. A small smile grew at what they had partaken in as well. "Marcus's men?"
"In position," the Captain replied, "Gabrielle's been crucified."
Ephiny's eyes went wide, "WHAT?"
The Conqueror spurred her war-horse on, "YAAH!!!" Following behind were the Queen, Eponin and the handful of Elite guard. They all rode hard in the direction of her city and bypassing the war torn areas in between.
A legion of the Conqueror's finest cavaliers, archers and infantry trailed
behind. They were in double time as to reach their fair city in time.
Callisto sat atop her mare and mischievously smirked at the presence of the Roman leader. "WELCOME TO MY CITY!" she called out to her approaching guests.
Caesar and a handful of his men rode up to the lone General. He noticed the crucified Gabrielle and greeted soberly, "Interesting house warming gift."
"I thought so," she shrugged and purred, "Xena's just going to love it."
"How goes the plan?"
"The Amazons are worn down and battered," Callisto informed with chuckle, "They are prepped and ready for you, my mighty Emperor."
"Good," Caesar nodded and added, "You have done well Callisto and you shall be rewarded accordingly."
One of his men instantly fired a bolt from his crossbow into a large torch that sat high atop the Castle's walls. The bolt carrying a pouch full of black powder flew into the flame and instantly flared up, giving the awaiting soldiers the signal.
Callisto knew this and roared, "KILL THEM ALL!!!"
A flaming arrow was then shot into the air as her archers leapt from behind the Castle walls. They released their arrows at the Roman counterparts, dropping them all except Caesar who had already retreated.
Roman legions charged forward at the signal and descended upon the city.
Gabrielle silently observed the Romans from her perch above. Her
left eye was swollen and her jaw bruised and sore. The ribs on the right side
were also battered and her gut ached from the vicious final punch. Isn't this
a hoot…get healed by a Goddess only to get beat up again. The ropes were
cutting into her wrists as she tried unsuccessfully to break free. "Xena," she
whispered to the wind, "Where are you?"
Grahf, Callisto's pet hawk, circled her once in search of a perch and found the perfect place. Just to the right of the Oracle. He turned to the human and ecstatically squawked.
"Lovely…"
The Romans met up the Corinthians and the battle
ensued. Swords clashing, arrows pelted down and battle cries of war drowned out
Nature's lull of life. Catapults fired off, "THOOOP!!! THOOOP!!" Flaming balls
of death arched high into the air and finally crashed to earth, killing and
maiming the unfortunate few.
Callisto's troops were being decimated just as Marcus' men joined in on the battle and flanked the invaders, thus causing Caesar's legions to split and defend against this change of events.
The Conqueror took in the raging battle before her. She noticed in the distance that her love was hanging upon a cross as challenge from her second. "GABRIELLE!!!!" she roared out and unsheathing her sword. "YIYIYIYIYIYIYIYIYI!!!" she called out and charged into the battle that now separated them. She effectively decapitated the unlucky few that stood in her way and of her love.
The Queen with her sword drawn in turn, followed suit. She was greeted with a
Roman swordsman, who she quickly disarmed by severing his sword arm. She
continued forward until another Roman charged forth.
The
Corinthians seemed to falter against the Romans. A grin formed upon the
Emperor's chiseled features. Victory will be mine… From all the noises of
the battle before him, Caesar picked up the all to familiar cry of the
Conqueror. He scanned the bloody scene for his nemesis and found her towards the
center of it. "Just in time," he muttered to himself and turned to his scout,
"Signal the reinforcements and take me to this hidden passage."
"Yes, my Emperor."
All Gabrielle could do was to watch this
bloody battle from her high perch. She closed her eyes as to block the horrid
sight before her. But the deafened sounds rang through her head and shook her
very soul. Poor souls… "Oh, Goddess…please bless the fallen." Between
screams and loud crashes, she swore that someone had called out her name. She
shrugged it off and suddenly heard the sound of her Liege's battle cry. The
Oracle opened her eyes in search of her Conqueror and called out, "XENA!!!"
The Conqueror heard a faint cry from her lover as she impaled a Corinthian rebel and kicked him off her bloody blade. "GABRIELLE!!!" she roared out and charged through group of battling soldiers, trampling them. "I'M ON MY WAY LOVE!!!"
Sierra and her steed were completely surrounded by Romans as they charged towards her. She leapt from her saddle and crash-landed into two soldiers. She grabbed a discarded sword with her left hand as the men swarmed her. She easily deflected their swords and retaliated with two quick swipes of her own. Both men grasped at their throats and fell back.
Ephiny waited till Caesar's reinforcements entered into play before yelling
out, "FOR OUR FALLEN!!!" She charged forward, leading her sisters into the
ensuing battle before them.
Callisto observed the struggling Gabrielle and smirked, "It seems your knight has arrived…just in time I might add."
Gabrielle remained silent and focused her gaze towards the battle.
"She'll be out there for a bit," she gestured behind her and sighed, "Nevertheless, I've got some things to do before the grand finale. So, I'll be right back, my pretty."
"GO TO TARTARUS, CALLISTO!"
Caesar followed his scout into
the dark and slimy passageway. His hand squeezed the hilt of his sword as they
rounded a corner and noticed a flickering light that outlined a door a few feet
away. He drew his sword and silently waited as the scout checked to see if the
coast was clear.
Moments later the scout came back and gestured, "My Emperor, the coast is clear."
"Good," the Emperor nodded, charging into the Conqueror's Castle for the very first time. He quickly took in the lush décor of the dinning room and turned to his Captain that followed behind, "Find Callisto…bring her body to me."
"Yes, Emperor!"
Caesar brushed pasted a soldier of his and entered into a larger room.
This room was as if not more lavishly decorated than the adjoined room. A large staircase led one to the floors above. Asian tapestries depicting famous battle scenes were hung upon the walls and a huge Persian rug sat in the middle of the marbled floor. Large Ming vases were placed all around the perimeter of the room as well as an assortment of marble statues.
"That won't be necessary," Callisto spoke up as she descended down the flight of stairs, "Caesar dear…I'm offended at your lack of proper etiquette. Using the back door instead of the front."
The Emperor's eyes widened at her smugness towards him, "Callisto."
Callisto's men rushed into the room and quickly surrounded the intruders.
"Tsk…tsk...tsk," Callisto chastised, "That won't do."
"Callisto, our plan-"
"Our 'plan' is nonexistent," she interrupted and ordered, "DROP YOUR WEAPONS OR DIE."
The Roman soldiers turned to their leader.
Caesar lowered his weapon in compliance, but instantly gutted two Corinthians
instead. "FOR ROME!!!" he roared, commencing his assault upon his captors. He
could hear the battle cries of his men as he impaled another soldier.
Two charging Corinthian rebels dropped as two arrows found their
marks.
Grahf squawked out an alarm and flew off.
The Conqueror trampled over them on her journey towards her love. She finally passed through the familiar threshold of her castle and threw her chakram towards her Oracle.
"XENA!" Gabrielle called out as she observed her lover drawing near.
The chakram sped through the air. It sliced the ropes that held Gabrielle's feet, rebounded off the stonewall, freed her left, ricocheted once again and freed her right. The trusty weapon bounced off a soldier's helmet, sending it back to its owner.
"OH GODS!" Gabrielle vocalized as she fell from her perch, "XENA!!"
Xena nonchalantly caught it, replaced it back to her belt and sheathed her sword. She held her arms out just as her love fell into them. "You okay?" she inquired, giving her a gentle squeeze.
Gabrielle gave her hero a hug and a kiss. "I am now."
The Conqueror pulled Argo to a stop and changed directions. She sat back in her saddle as to let her love have the rest. Xena guided them towards the exit as three arrows sped towards her. Two were easily caught but the third struck her in the shoulder. "HELLFIRE!" she growled and flung her chakram towards the archers. Effectively decapitating two out of the three.
Gabrielle glanced over her shoulder and noticed the bloody arrowhead sticking out from her lover's shoulder. "Xe, you've been shot!"
"Thanks Rielle…" she facetiously grumbled, "I thought that acupuncturist was dressed a bit funny."
"HA..HA..HA," Gabrielle muttered and huffed, "Never thought the mighty Conqueror had sense of humor."
"I didn't either," Xena revealed with a grin and kissed her love on the back of the head, "Lets add it to the list of qualities that you've helped me discover."
"Will do."
Xena heard the familiar hum of her chakram and plucked it out from the air. She recognized the gore incrusted Queen and her fellow Amazons as they approached.
Sierra flipped over an attacker and quickly decapitated him upon her landing. She noted the wounded Conqueror and her Oracle as they drew near. The Queen also noticed a flaming object as it was dropped from the archway above. "XENA, TURN BACK!"
Xena heard the warning just as the object exploded before them.
There was a bright flash and a loud explosion. Which caused Argo to rear up and buck, thus tossing her riders unceremoniously off of her back.
Xena flew one way and Gabrielle the other.
The Queen rushed to the Oracle's aid as she tumbled across the ground. "GABRIELLE!!" she called out and skidded to a stop next to her. "Are you okay?"
"Sierra…" she muttered between breaths, "Ow…I think so."
"Lay still," the Queen advised, running her hands over Gabrielle's body and assessing any damages. "You're very lucky Oracle…a few bruised ribs is all you've sustained."
"I guess the Goddess was looking after me."
The Conqueror slowly climbed to her feet and broke the arrow shaft in two. She held her tongue as she removed the rest of it in one swift yank. She noticed her love on the ground and cried out, "GABRIELLE!!"
"XENA!" Gabrielle responded and hurried to her feet with the help from the Queen, "I'm alright!"
Xena rushed over, gave her love a hug and gentle kiss. "You okay?"
"Yes, Xe I am."
Callisto was clapping as she sat on the balcony's edge and cheered, "BRAVO!! The lovers have united once again. Too bad the reunion won't last very long."
"Callisto," Xena growled and stepped in front of Gabrielle, shielding her from whatever the bitch may do. "I'm surprised that Caesar hasn't done away with you yet."
"Oh…he tried," Callisto sighed as she inspected her fingernails for any defects, "And I suspect that he'll never attempt that again."
"Rielle, stay back…" Xena whispered over her shoulder and unsheathed her sword, "Let's dance."
"OH GOODIE," Callisto purred as she leapt off her perch with her sword in hand, "I've always wanted to dance with you."
"Enough talk," Xena grumbled and made her move, "Fight already."
Corinthian rebels charged at the Amazons with their weapons
drawn.
"Here catch," Sierra tossed the Oracle a discarded spear and suggested, "Time to play."
Gabrielle caught it and nodded, "Gotcha."
"Stick close to me," the Queen advised and blocked an oncoming thrust. She kicked her attacker in the knee, shattering it.
"Will do," the Oracle responded and swung her spear at an oncoming attacker, missing him. She quickly blocked his parry and smacked him upside the head with it, knocking him out. "YEAH!"
Sierra chuckled as she smashed her sword handle into the downed attacker's
face.
The Conqueror exchanged blows with her second and quickly
reversed with a leg swipe that brought her crashing down. She then drove her
sword into the fallen traitor, but was rewarded with a groin kick that dropped
her abruptly to her knees.
Callisto rolled away from the groaning Liege and instantly climbed to her feet. She attempted a front kick, but it was easily caught as she crashed to the ground. She heard the snap of a bone and the painful twisting sensation coming from her ankle. "YOU BITCH!!" she roared out in pain and kicked the Liege in the face with her remaining foot.
The blow sent Xena sliding across the ground. She leapt to her feet and smirked, "And here…I thought you knew that by now."
Callisto painfully climbed to her feet. All the while, not putting any weight upon her broken ankle in the process. "I'm going to kill you Xena!"
"You can't even walk," the Conqueror reminded, "Let alone fight me."
"Well see about that," Callisto growled and rushed the Liege.
Xena grinned and taunted, "Bring it on!"
Sierra kicked
another attacker in the face.
Gabrielle warned, "LOOK OUT!!"
The Queen stepped back just as a sword missed her abdomen, but stabbed her in the side instead. "DAMNIT!" she growled and fell back.
A bloodied Emperor stood above the Queen with his sword raised. "For Rome…" he gasped and lowered his weapon.
Suddenly, a spear found its mark as it impaled the mighty Caesar. He eyes focused on the Oracle, "No…" gasping out, "Not like this." His body grew weak, thus dropping his sword and abruptly collapsed to his knees. His eyes rolled back and he fell over dead.
Sierra glanced back and realized who had thrown it, "Gabrielle?"
Gabrielle swallowed hard, observing her rapist take in his last breath. She felt the eyes of Sierra upon her and rushed over to the wounded Queen. "Gods, Sierra…you're bleeding."
"It's only a flesh wound," the Queen joked and slowly sat up, "I need to bandage it up-"
Gabrielle chastised, "I think not my Queen." She guided the Amazon to lie
back down. The Oracle covered the wound with her hands and pressed down as to
halt the bleeding. "Need more than that," she corrected and noticed that Eponin
was running towards them, "GET A HEALER NOW!!!"
The Conqueror
easily disarmed her second and put the 'pinch' on her. She smirked as the
traitorous Callisto dropped to her knees and tried unsuccessfully to breathe.
"How does it feel to kneel before the better warrior?" she inquired and
shrugged, "Makes no matter now." Xena released the pinch and used the hilt of
her sword to knock the bitch out. She noticed her loyal Security officer and
called out, "MARCUS!"
"My Liege, the Roman commanders are all dead." Marcus reported with a huge grin, "With the help from the Amazons…the battle has turned in our favor."
"Good," Xena nodded, "I want this war to end NOW."
"Of course…" he bowed and noticed his Liege's shoulder, "You're wounded-"
"I realize that," she acknowledged, "Find me some shackles for our prisoner here."
He glanced down at the unconscious traitor, "As you wish, my Liege."
The battle worn Corinth was covered in bloody gore and smell of death carried
in the eastern wind. All around the castle were the bodies of fallen
Corinthians, Amazons and Romans. They were scattered in morbid poses as the
hungry Vultures circled high above the war zone, waiting for their chance to
feed. The survivors were gathering the dead for the ritual funeral pyres that
would take place.
Xena silently sat on her throne observing her victorious allies. She still wore the gore-incrusted tunic and pants that had been worn underneath her battered armor. The shoulder wound had been tended to and her arm was now in sling. Standing to the right of her was Gabrielle, who looked as tired as she felt. Marcus stood next to her as well.
The Queen sat on the Conqueror's left. Her armor had been removed and her wound tended as well. She lifted a water bag to lips and took a large swig, drenching her thirst. Ephiny and her Captain silently stood next to her.
Amazons and Corinthians were congregating and speaking to one another while waiting for the execution that was scheduled to take place.
The Conqueror stated flatly, "Let's begin."
The rhythmic beating of the drums was heard as the Corinthian guards dragged out the struggling Callisto. They laid her upon a wooden cross, secured her to it and stepped back. Two other guards carried with them a small table with an assortment of knifes and sat it next to the prisoner.
The Executioner stepped forward waiting for his Liege's word.
The Conqueror narrowed her eyes towards her traitorous second and inquired, "I have sentenced you to death Callisto. Do you have any last words for us?"
Callisto decreed, "I'll meet you in hell Xena."
"Very well…" the Conqueror raised a brow, "Say hello to Caesar for me." She gestured with a wave a hand, "Make it slow and painful."
"Yes, my Liege." The Executioner picked out a curved blade from the many that sat before him. He made the initial cut to the prisoner's lower abdomen from hip to hip. Thus causing her intestines to pour out, which he stretched out and unceremoniously discarded to the ground. Callisto's cries were drowned out from the cheering spectators.
Gabrielle released a soft gasp, adverted her gaze from the woman being disemboweled before her. There could've been another way… Her stomach churned as she observed the crowd as they enjoyed this horrid scene. WHY?
The Conqueror heard her. She turned to Gabrielle and read her worries. "This is who I am Rielle…" she spoke up, "One can not change ones nature."
"Change is part of life."
"I am the Destroyer of Nations, the Lion of Amphipolis and the Conqueror."
"Yada…yada…" Gabrielle sighed, "Well, I am the Oracle Gabrielle…" she retorted and asserted, "I've seen the tiny changes Xe…they do add up. Remember this, I'm only person who owns the other half of YOUR soul."
Xena remained silent and quickly assessed what her love had said.
"Now tell me Xe…if I can't change you, then why am I here?"
"Rielle, you're here to love me…" Xena confessed with all her heart, "And I
you."
